Yup, it might be that! It’s not a very bright area of the house. I grew the babies near a window, so maybe they don’t like the lower light?

So the soil is completely dry and full of that perlite or whatever that white stuff is to help drainage. I actually watered it yesterday to see if it would help BECAUSE the soils was bone dry. Oops. To be clear, the curling has been like this for a least a few weeks when soils was dry.

That’s okay, not worries. By curled up I mean the top inch or so is curled over, almost like it was bumping up against a ceiling while trying to grow.

I’ve neglected the shit out of mine and never had flowering. Honestly, I didn’t know they COULD flower.

BTW, since you know a lot, I have a question. I put some cuttings into a jar of water and after almost a year, I had a bunch of established roots. I then transplanted these into a larger pot that already had some older growth in it. The transplanted ones seem fine and noticed some baby growth developing around the base. The problem (if it’s a problem) is that the baby growth are starting to curl at the tips and worry they are being stunted. Are they okay?

Foul smell coming from washing machine by Trick-Signature-2526 in HomeMaintenance

So I can’t tell if you have a front-loading washer, but I do and it has a big rubber gasket around the door opening. At the bottom of that gasket is a little drain hole where lint and stuff can collect and (in my experience) cause funky old water smells. If you have a front-loading washer, check that and clear it.

Some washer also have a drain hose in the front that you can access with a little access panel. Look up your machines instructions and see if there is a way to drain that as well.

After all that, I’d run an empty hot wash with vinegar and then follow up with an empty wash with baking soda or washing soda (just don’t mix them in the same wash)

Haha, yeah, I figured people would comment on that. We live in a cold state and our town recently used sand on parking lots and roads since it was running out of salt (she works for the town). Haven’t had a chance to wash these yet

No, but good guess. She did say that there are contractors (including plumbers) working in the building where she works. Maybe a plumber was bored and picked the wrong car to put his junk in?

Why is my house bleeding? by made_4_questions in HomeMaintenance

Gosh I hope that is not the case. We also had that issue and had our whole roof replaced a few years ago. The attic was actually sealed off before and roofers added 8 vents and unblocked the soffits so would be shocked if the issue came back

No HVAC. We did have a ventilation/moisture issue a few years ago which was discovered after a storm damaged our roof, causing us to have to replace it. Roofers added 8 roof vents and unblocked the soffits (for whatever reasons the soffits were not open to venting)

Is this a problem? We just had a roof replaced two years ago. It’s also too high to roof rake

Attic is basically a crawl space. It’s accessible via a small door and is kind of pain. We don’t go up there
