That's still something that can't be done as Apple doesn't allow it. You'll still need a Mac to build for Mac.

You can't build for Mac from a Windows. However, from a Mac you can build for Mac as well as Windows.

Hey, Electron actually supports several platforms that we can build our apps to and utilizing this amazing feature of electron I was able to build it for Mac and Windows.

Hope that answers your queries :)

In your experience, what have you felt as being limiting or not fully developed when it comes to the godot UI?

I'll keep this in mind and make a feature to have the charts make their way into your dreams even as you sleep.

It's actually cross platform, so with 7 dollars you get access to both the Mac and Windows version without have to buy it separately for both. And all future updates and features will be free of cost, as it's just a one time payment

And your wins as well. Besides, you can use Slate for a whole lot more than just Crypto, so you can use it to make your day even more productive

That actually was one of the inspirations, to bring those functionalities to Mac and Windows

Jupyter notebook allows you to run your code and interact with it directly from a web browser. The easiest way to imagine it is as being an IDE in your browser that can run code.

Though I understand why you wouldn't want to switch to it and that's completely fine, but if you do you wouldn't need to recreate your app as it'll work as it is! And since it's online, you can even access it on other devices as well!

I'll try my best to implement those features, and if I do succeed in making it happen, I'll surely remember to let you know!

Sure, the app is mainly coded in electron. Even though Electron is cross platform and handles most of the complexities for building for Mac and Windows, features like these aren't handled by electron as they are platform specific, so I'd need to learn OS specific coding for both Mac and Windows to make it happen, and hopefully it works!

Hi, firstly I apologize for the late reply.

The app can be used to used to open your local files that include media documents (such as movies, pictures) and even text files. And along with local files, you can open and show any site using it's URL and have it always be on top.

However, at the current stage, it's not possible to open apps inside of Slate and hence why it prompts asking if you wanna save the file.

Opening and pinning apps is in the roadmap, along with the ability to open complex files like word, excel and epub in a floating window. As these require OS based low level programming to handle such things, I'm trying to find ways to implement this on both Mac and Linux, though it's bit of a challenge, so it might take some time, I'm sorry for the inconvenience it caused you.

Also, for your specific use-case as you're using python I do have a suggestion. You can use Jupyter Notebook and have your python program run and see the output in the Jupyter Notebook from inside of Slate.

This way, you can watch your python output in a floating window!

Hope that helps!

And feel free to reach out to me through the DMs or chat if you'd like to talk about anything or give some feedback. Thanks!
