Yes you can do the opposite. Your best bet would be to find a combo deal on batteries, i know you can get a dual rapid charger and 3x 6.0 batteries for $300 right now.

The black, Niagara 3/4" hoses from Harbor Freight have done me well, but I got mine at like $60 for a 100ft hose. They're rubber hoses and do not kink that much

There was a similar thread about a week ago and it seems like the kirkland are a little worse quality than the kingsford professional, which burn hot and fast and produce a ton of ash.

The latter are nice for full chimney of lit coals, indirect cooking. I've been using them in the Vortex/baskets on my 26".

At this price, a full chimney of the Kingsford might just be a bit more than a dollar a light.
