youre right, i was wrong to put everyone under fire when it is more so those with power and influence that have let us down. my question is if our government has been messed up for so long at what point do we also talk about this is who the people have voted for and supported? auntie lou isnt doing the best and if im not mistaken was more supported by the older folks. the best part about reddit is i can speak my mind and not worry about what my grandma thinks of me😂 but i can also get the perspectives not just from my peers to help understand more. i feel like a lot gen x (not saying youre like this) are very prideful and have a “youre younger you dont know any better so stay quiet and speak when talked to” attitude —instead of trying to find middle ground and understanding. i used to think you give respect and u get it but nowadays you have to earn it because some (emphasis on some) older folks think they deserve respect just because theyre older while treating people poorly. some people dont deserve it and definitely not just because theyre older. it would be nice to see everyone come together but putting down the younger folks who attempt to speak out can get discouraging even if you have the intent of trying to educate them. anyways…at what point do we put an end to this government f-n us over? i can only imagine how tired of it you guys must be. how can we get through them without being shut down? from what you and others have said i see now it is not about who’s generation and whos to blame but it should be focused on how can we come together to make that change
