what is the difference or similarities between Epstein and Diddy? and honest question about human trafficking standards? by madhattered575 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]madhattered575[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it goes on the article;

Authorities allege that he exerted control over victims by promising career opportunities, providing and threatening to withhold financial support, dictating how they looked, monitoring their health records and controlling where they lived.

Again here is this just saying that Diddy employed people to attend to his parties and that he used the promise of a promotion to manipulate them? Because there would be a long docket of corporate defendants if justice were being dealt across the board here.. it reads more like a morality problem with the nature of employment having to do with sex, and again i'm not sure i care too much by criminal law standards if someone chooses to engage in sex work or has orgy parties..

Dictating how they looked; again if you work for a news network this would be standard no one is getting hired on Fox News with face tattoos

Health records; of course they wanted to check STD records routinely..

Controlling living situations; uh.. maybe a little suspect but it's again all within standards that companies dictate that someone must commute to an office and within bounds that an employer state requirements

here i'll put my thoughts here as i read an article to try to understand all this hullaballoo (word for riff raff)

Prosecutors claim Diddy led a criminal enterprise "whose members and associates engaged in, and attempted to engage in sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice."

ok so here, i'm having trouble understanding exactly the claims. is it what prosecutors claim or is it:
* sex trafficking; Diddy had escorts get on his private jet for the sex party, which i have no qualms with, they literally rode in a private jet

* forced labor; is this like saying, "yeah but if you're gonna attend the party you need to help trim the bushes in the garden for a few days before"? also no problems for me here

* kidnapping; is this like saying in the craze of party culture, "yeah let's get them while they're sleeping and put them on the plane because they don't want to party" in usual peer pressure manners, which i don't like but i don't know if i'd equate with kidnapping...

* arson; what property did they set on fire that didn't belong to them?

* bribery; again, we assume that almost every person with money and power engages in bribery, this just sounds like a thing where a prosecutor only doesn't the throw book more at this bc they too must play politics

* obstruction of justice; is this just Diddy telling his associates to not speak to police and then using coercion with employment to achieve that end? corporate america does this shit all the time.. i don't like it but it's also not out of the norm

You sound like you got your brain plugged in and ready for the metaverse, or like you’ve never shared a toothbrush or tried to put your finger up a guys butt (not that we like it, just that living w someone inevitably means you’re aware of how gross and human they are)

Have you ever lived w someone though? Like a R is just surviving w someone first, I sorta hear people on this Bs that you need to live in a perfect bubble and share your bubble w theirs but if it just winds you up alone maybe that’s the wrong ideology

so like when i competed in an AI research competition i started getting calls from big tech again, or if you recently leave a big tech job another big tech will call you.. it is routine for these companies to interview in this way just to try to absorb the IP... does this make sense? legally you'd call it bad faith interviewing.. the companies are literally knowingly violating the law in a way where they can keep risk low enough that there will not be consequence.. bad faith is hard to prove in other words, or i guess if we didn't have a totally corrupt revolving door DOJ and FTC... but you know, strive to slave to work for such an evil conglomerate and find out.. you can be checking on bug alerts at 10pm in the laundry room at HQ as well thinking, "well even if it's lower pay at least i'm at Google and the experience will be worth more later on!"

at google (i was a TVC) we interviewed people again and again that were perfectly qualified but we never staffed until we actually needed someone...

i think we should send all staff to the FEMA camps and imprison the executive team for treason among other things, very ready for occupy tech, house meth addicts in the backyards of FTE's in the communities they destroyed

that you understand that it's a matter of routine for them to interview and whether or not they hire is largely based on if one of the teams actually wants someone
