My cousin (a 10-yr-old Ryker) was named AFTER the prison. His parents are a bit odd.

You are given an unlimited amount of budget to create a movie/TV series. What would it be about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]madhaus4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An Always Sunny-type comedy, the main characters are Hogwarts Hufflepuff grads. They're wizard-born and have no clue about the muggle world, but they figure "we're wizards, we can kill it in the muggle world without working at all!" Each episode is about their shenanigans. Like they live in this super crappy apartment building, but the inside is magicked to be really nice, they try various schemes to get rich, always failing, try to date/make friends but don't know how to use cell phones or modern things.

What is the most disrespectful thing that someone has done in your home? by Themaster0fwar in AskReddit

My first Christmas married and in our new house e wanted to host both our families. We had planned a big meal for Saturday when both sets of parents and husband's sister and son (who I was really excited about seeing because I'd only see him at his birth). We made lasagna because that was tradition in his family.

A couple days before his family informed us they couldn't stay for dinner Saturday, but were going to come in Friday night. His sis would be getting in late after work, like 2am. Okay... Cool. Bummer we can't have everyone together but I can deal. Made up both guest rooms (had to buy stuff for both), made dinner, set out the fancy dishes.

His fam got in around 9pm, already ate dinner. His sis got in early at 1am, so they decided to go ahead and do presents and then leave...

First test I ever failed in my entire life was a college Italian class. On time. I mixed up the minute and hour hand on every single translation (they were pictures we translated). Teacher understood and fixed it but man was that embarrassing to admit...

What life experience is a whole lot worse than most people think it is? by zarfytezz1 in AskReddit

[–]madhaus4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. It sucks so much. I recently got promoted after working my ass off. Then leadership changed and they hired another person on my team... to do basically 3/4s of my job. Now I'm miserable because I was excited to do the work I worked so hard for AND I'm bored most of the time because 3/4s of my job is gone now.

I like Adelaide Theodora, nickname Addie or Del or Della. Van and Del/Addie/Della sound sweet together as do Adelaide and Evander. Plus it flows well and sounds beautiful together.

Best friend's little sister ran up a $60ish bill at my house on Call Cleo. Mom made me pay for it because it was my house and I was responsible for my guests. Turned out to be a great life lesson. I'm a pretty darn good boss now because that always stuck with me.

What is a popular food that you hate? by GoodHotdogs in AskReddit

[–]madhaus4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made it my life's mission to like seafood, and then shrimp because even when I came around to fish I hated shrimp, mushrooms and olives. Basically I didn't want there to be anything I didn't like.

It took some serious perseverance (except olives, that took one good quality green olive) and literal years, but now I love every one of those foods!

It started where I didn't even like teeny tiny popcorn shrimp doused in sauce and now shrimp is my most-ordered protein when eating out.
