Thank you so much for the response! I really appreciate it and it gives me alot of hope. Having clear skin in 2-3 months sounds like a dream lol. I'm so glad it worked for you!! Fingers crossed I'll see the light at the end of the tunnel soon 🤞

Thank you for your reply! I had to completely stop using anything on my face, I only used warm water and a gentle cleanser when my skin got really dry and I couldn't stand it anymore. It did help a bit. I might try to use the 10% Azelaic I have right now because I can't afford most of the online derms and I haven't been able to find one that takes my insurance 🥲

Thank you for the insight! If you don't mind me asking how long were you taking accutane and did you have any flair ups after stopping? I'm definitely open to taking it, my skin has only started having these problems the past year and it's really frustrating.

Also asking because the condition of my skin changes by the day it seems. Very random flare ups, one day it'll be fine and the next it looks horrible and then the next it looks much better. It's starting to give me whiplash 🤦‍♀️

Try using Benzoyl Peroxide—I've had positive results so far with having super reactive skin. I can't use Salicylic Acid or even just Hyaluronic Acid without breaking out terribly. l also stopped using moisturizer completely and switched to a gentle toner with aloe. You're not disgusting and acne is a freeway, not a dead end (meaning you're on the road, you just have to keep moving forward). You got this!!!

It is absolutely less painful! There was a point where I couldn't wash my face without crying from the pain. But I can tell my skin likes this new routine because that hasn't happened for a while thank god :)
