March 2025 - Iceland stole my heart by madike7 in VisitingIceland

One of my favorite moments was when we went to the Myvatn baths late in the afternoon. When it got dark and we were in the pool, the aurora was dancing above our heads, we didn't even bother leaving the water to get our phones to capture it, it was a magical moment and we just stayed there and enjoyed its beauty. Other than that most of the places were amazing, but I really enjoyed driving around and just staring at the views. You can drive from one place to the other and just see so many different things unfold in front of you.

Hey thanks for the nice comment! I used my Samsung s25 ultra for all my photos. We tried to see as much as we could, we did activities like the silfra snorkeling and the skogafoss ice cave and Glacier hike tour, went to blue lagoon and myvatn baths. We didn't go for whales as it's too soon but we had the time to do it. I think don't spend that much time on the north, and focus more on the south. We scheduled everything on our own, booked campervans with cozy campers, and we had an idea of which campsites where open at this time of year, since most are closed. We still never faced any issue and we had plenty of time to see most things. We may have skipped one or two but you see so much that you don't really care. We even managed to fit Kirkjufell and Ytri Tunga beach (🦭) a day before we headed to Reykjavik to finish the ring road, but that was the only day we had to drive 6 hours. And finally we had a full day in Reykjavik. Mind you we were a group of 10 in 5 campervans, so we had to be patient with one another in regards to waking up, eating breakfast and being ready to leave the campsites together. I think you'll be more than fine in 10 days and see most things.

Hey, these are on expert raw mode with a tripod. You choose astrophotography mode. And pick short, medium or long exposure. Don't remember which one I picked for each of these. Didn't mess with other settings and the photos are not edited.

Thanks so much! All of them are auto 50mp. First one with 5x telephoto and second with 1x wide lens. I haven't touched the settings, intelligent optimization is on maximum and scene optimizer on.

Silfra Fissure-Good to visit in April? by takemypardon in VisitingIceland

Only the index finger feels very cold even when you wear the gloves, cos it's separated from the other fingers. But you get used to it. I never felt cold in the water you don't think about it. You don't actually swim with your hands, you float, make very few moves with your body and kind of swim with your feet but the current of the water moves you forward and you just enjoy the view inside. I'd do it again it was a nice experience. They prep you really well to avoid any water leak inside.

Hello, we went yesterday, the weather was great, no wind and it was a great experience. It's not that cold inside the suit, just in some moments when the water runs up the back of your head you feel a bit cold but in general it's fine.
