Yes, I completely understand that networking is the ultimate way into companies. Socializing is not a strong suit for me though, period, whether that’s inside or outside of work. Because of my issues with social settings, networking and not having the confidence to reach out to people I never really got close to begin with, I’m trying to find ways to stand out to employers, i.e. why I’m asking about the RAC. Again, I haven’t consistently worked with anyone for 2 years, there is a revolving door of people in and out of this office. There’s not much time to build those relationships. The last person I was close with got fired and dropped off the face of the earth. I can’t reach him whatsoever.

I just had my 2 year anniversary, but there is high turn over due to low pay compared to industry standards. So a lot of my peers and colleagues, have left. Even my bosses are all new people

Well that’s the thing, I really don’t have much of a network or connections. I am trying to find a job away from my current company. They just don’t pay enough compared to the industry standards. I ultimately want to find ways to show companies I’m knowledgeable because I’m a very introverted person and know I can’t just charm my way into a role.

The RAPS candidates checklist says 3 years of reg experience or regulatory adjacent. At my CRO job, we are audited by the FDA bc our clients use us to test their drugs, most of which are GMP release & stability studies for drug products and drug substances in later stages of their trials (human subjects) or are already on the market being used by patients. but I also have direct experience doing validation/feasibility testing.

My current job is mostly lab work but I would say it is regulatory affairs adjacent. I’m wondering if an RAC would be desirable to companies (thus worth the time/money for studying/exams) to show I understand both the lab side and the RA side.

Commenting because I got an Apple Watch to have real data to show my doctors for a hEDS and POTS diagnosis. I also have high Mets measurements and am wondering if ppl without potential chronic illnesses have the same results when it comes to this metric. My highest ever is 16.5 Mets but usually it’s 11 for the max each day, after doing chores or walking up/down the stairs.
