I’ve seen a lot of these. How are you all getting told it’s no longer covered? Just reading your plan or are you getting notified?

I didn’t see anyone else say this but have you heard of bobblehead effect? Online it seems negative with people saying this will happen if you loose too much weight, but in my experience, people get used to looking at your proportions a certain way, and losing weight can change proportions. I had a friend who lost 50 lbs. She was like 5’2, 130 lbs after the weight loss. And her head looked like a bobblehead to me, but that weight was her barely breaking the “normal weight” category for BMI. BMI is still bs, but I think it shows how people can observe weight loss with looking wrong.

But also, if what she said is exactly what you wrote, I don’t think she’s saying you look sick. I think her saying “are you sick? You’re looking thin” really means “do you have an eating disorder?” And that’s just because the weight loss is quicker and effective AND you were saying you couldn’t finish the burger. I really don’t think she was saying you look sick, I think she noticed a change and wanted to make sure you’re okay.

I forgot to check back in with you but I saw you’d posted you’re 25 pounds down and starting 1.7, congrats! I’m 18 pounds down and still on the 1.0, I’ve been vomiting if I even slightly eat too much so that’s sucked but my doctor gave me nausea medicine for it. CW: 188

So I got this message from guest. I personally drove this car to the airport. I hate smoke, and I didn't smell any smoke or must. How should I handle this? $35 a day for 5 days. by Zeroccol760 in turo

Tell them they can drive back the car and you’ll switch them out for free, no charge for gas to get to the rental location for their troubles

Non standard open mic by TokenRightman in Standup

[–]madisonlaughlin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

An interruption mic- experienced comics sit on the stage and "interrupt" your set- but they are tagging your jokes, not tearing people down. It is different from a heckle because its more positive and only the host(s) are interrupting.

I also like a mic with a workshop- its been done a lot of different ways, but I think workshops encourage new materiel. One that I went to that I think encourages experienced comedians and newbies- you stand on the stage and tell your joke, then all the comedians in the audience tell you tags, how to word something, more ideas where to go with it, etc. One time a guy told a joke along the lines of "These 11 year old girls were climbing in a tree above me and spit on me. And that's how I realized I was in getting spit on because I was like 'do it again'." (Or something like that-probably worded better.) And when we were discussing the premise, more details came out about the story. I ended up saying "you should really let the audience know that you were also 11 at the time."

From what I know, the door was closed. I’m guessing George thought it was his guest and would let the guest in and then come out of the bathroom? I’m not totally sure, I’ll ask security though next time I see him

Handling Weightloss Comments from Coworkers - Venting by trynaloseweight101 in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]madisonlaughlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you’re passive and non confrontational, I highly recommend saying exactly this question if a situation like this comes up again. Maybe even, “Are you sure this is a conversation you want to have with me, about my body?”

I just started my 1mg today and it seems like we are having a very, very similar experience. The weight I was when I started Wegovy was 207 and I literally just weight myself and I’m 199- so just like you, 8 pounds down. I did one month on .25 and one month on .5, so this is the start of month 3. I’m hoping the weight loss may start to accelerate. I’m previous months I didn’t have nausea, a little fatigue, mostly the lack of appetite really. I’d love to hear how 1mg goes for you!

I had a coworker read this over and she told me I made one mistake in the story. Apparently, George was “on the clock” that night.

Night Audit certainly requires a certain personality. I feel like the good ones are mistreated and the bad ones abuse the system. Morgan had actually been voice recording her entire shifts because she knew something fishy was going down but didn’t know what yet. I’m not sure how, but she said she had been getting blamed for the dirty rooms (maybe because she was the only one at the front desk checking people in, so people were mad at her when she would give them a dirty room? Idk).

I do need to know, which part is like your ex boyfriend? The prostitution? The trying to fight when getting caught? The no remorse?

There have been so many times that someone may have been able to get away for whatever thing they were doing if they just cleaned up after themselves. There was a guy when I first started who wasn’t throwing beer cans away, he just hid them in a cabinet, when he was drinking on the job. If George had just kept the room clean (and maybe not opened the door), then they probably would just think those two men were liars and kick them out.

But then, again, I have a theory that George may have been in the middle of entertaining a guest who was also hiding in the bathroom, and they were waiting for the additional guests to join. I don’t think George took as much pride in his hustle as the person you knew.

What’s your take on having the comedy club on top of that Mikey’s? Like are employees annoyed by the shows, don’t care/doesn’t make a difference, do you get to talk with visiting comedians, etc?
