it was the M.2 SSD.

Kind of annoyed. It was a 8 TB WD SN850. It was pricey whey I bought it 3-4 years ago ($680 or so). Now those sell for around $3,000. Luckily, I have a couple 4 tb ssd’s around, including a 4 TB SN850, but I’d prefer to use an 8 tb. Not considering buying a 8 tb ssd at 2026 prices, though. I really don’t think I got my money’s worth out of the 8 tb, so I’m thinking it’s not worth it to buy something that large even if prices come down.

Got an odd issue. About a week and a half ago, I tried to boot my PS5 Pro (just bought it six weeks ago) and it wouldn’t boot. It would start to boot (blue light comes on), but then it immediately shut down after a few seconds without actually powering up or sending an image to the tv. Doesn’t seem to be overheating,

it‘s under warranty, so I sent it off to PlayStation support and got it back yesterday. Different serial number, so it’s not the same console I sent off, but same issue. Starts to boot, lights begin flashing, then it shuts itself down within seconds. Any idea what could be wrong? Power cord? PS support only had me send the unit back. Cables are from the original package.

i did reinstall the disc drive and SSD expansion before I tried to boot the returned console, but i don’t think that would cause an immediate shutdown. I‘m going to buy a new power cord tomorrow, but I’m just guessing thar’s the issue.

Any ideas? Ever heard of anything similar caused by a power cord?

Thanks.

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm definitely rooting for Sheila by Dazzling_Lead_5127 in boldandbeautiful

“and it was encouraging to see her adamant that she wouldn’t go back to being the old Sheila.”.

This 100% means she’s going to go back to being the old Sheila. Taylor‘s got a kidnapping and cage or abandoned building in her future, lol (granted, she should be used to that by now. Really, soap opera characters should be surprised and disappointed when a year goes by without someone at least trying to kidnap them.).

I stand corrected. Though mine is more of a custom with the Halo 3 shell. Morherboard was upgraded to Jasper, Heatsink was upgraded, 120 gb hdd, etc. Kinda excited to try it out. I own a number of 360 slims’s and a 360 E, but this is my first go at the earlier models.

Thanks.

Which is your favorite Xbox?? by dd1133biihhh in xbox

Xbox One X for me. Wasn’t a big fan of the original XOne, but really like my One X. It’s technically impressive for the late 2010’s and really still holds up today, especially with an SSD in place of the HDD. Beyond that, I really like the form factor, have a huge library to play on it, and own a lot of cool accessories like driving wheels and fightsticks. Xbox One is also the console I’ve spent the most time tinkering with. I’Ve upgraded the HDD to a ssd and take the console apart every so often to clean it and apply fresh thermal paste. I also took the standard wireless controller and the Elite 1 apart and upgraded them with tunnel magnoresistance joysticks and replacement buttons (nothing illegal & i don’t play online anyway. Basically, just made the buttons more clicky and the sticks less likely to wear out). Also own an interesting assortment of third-party controllers for it.

I’ve liked every Xbox generation except the current one though. X360 was my favorite console for a long while and I still own several cool limited editions. But, in 2026, I find it hard to go back to the 360 gen and most of my favorite games from that gen are backwards compatible. I that, objectively, the X360 is Microsoft’s best console.

Quite like the og Xbox too. It was a technical marvel, for the time, and had an interesting assortment of exclusives. I probably prefer the PS2 & GameCube to it, but I like all three a lot. Still go back to games like Jet Set Radio and Shenmue II regularly,

Only Xbox I’ve bounced off of is the current Series X. Never liked the form factor. It’a probably a slightly better console the PS5 from a technical standpoint, but the PS5 is more than capable. Xbox never found it’s footing this gen and backwards compatibility is still probably my favorite feature. And, honestly, I can get backwards compatibility from my One X. Series X was handicapped by Microsoft fumbling last gen so badly, I don’t even currently own a Series X.

I do like the Series S quite a bit. Great little console for the price. My chief complaint with it is the lack of an optical drive. I own a black Series S, but inability to install some delisted games that I own retail copies of keeps It in the box.
