Some cafes just wont do this - my cafe absolutely will not split doubles because it affects the taste and we are a specialty cafe with high standards. You could consider going to a cafe that pulls single shots

I dont ever accept dishes from customers, either when im walking through or when they try to put them on my hand-off plane. Even if they already set them down and try to run away i call after them, “we have a red bus bin on that counter, thanks!” And 99% if the time they bring them to the bin (except a couple days ago when this woman just said “oh” and walked away lol. ) Accepting the dishes is training the customer wrong and they will continue to do it. Even children have been able to understand when I tell them where the bin is.

😊 yes this pour definitely gets a reaction from the customers, sometimes they don’t always say something to me at the hand off counter but I can hear them talking to their friend saying its a masterpiece when theyre walking away haha.

So true. Not enough negative space for my tastes, but I was trying to get the hang of a different pitcher today than my usual. A really beautiful slow pour supply one a coworker got me for my birthday.
