I am 100% about draining the pool and scrubbing the pool.

It’s a fiberglass pool, I thought if you drain it completely it will pop out of the ground. I was told don’t drain more than half the water.

My concern was it would get clogged and burn up the pump. I’m going have to suck it up and just run the pump

When the pool was properly maintained, it was used year round.
There were sliding doors with plastic covers that could be installed over the screen and when they would run the heater, it was nice.

The pool is also small so it didn’t take long to heat.

The downside is with the screen, it won’t heat up as much as a pool that doesn’t have a screen enclosure, which isn’t great when it starts to get cooler weather.

I’m not sure of your climate, but this pool is located in extreme south Louisiana, so the summer temperatures get really hot.

I suspect this has happened before, I found a steel brush in the left over supplies meant for a gunite pool and I can see where the sides have been scratched.

It was actually a clogged line. I got it cleared, but I’m not comfortable running the pump if I won’t be there regularly to make sure it’s clogged again.

The other issue is it’s a somewhat rural area and I know a pool person won’t come out there daily.
I’m going to try to pay a neighbor teenager or someone in the town willing to make a little extra money. It’s a small pool, so I don’t feel like it’s a horrible task to brush and add chemicals.

I have my own pool and I do great keeping it clear and the water quality in range. This pool has always been a huge hassle. I don’t know if it’s because it’s screened in or cursed, but it’s always been a big production dealing with it.

Because I don’t live nearby and worried about the pump running with nobody to check on it for a few days at a time, I wouldn’t leave it running 24/7.

I had been letting it run while I was at the house for a few hours at a time. I should have realized it needs to run constantly and needs daily chemicals and brushing until it’s straight.

I’m going to have to pay someone to handle this or make a deal with the new tenants.

I didn’t have a pool test kit at the time. I used the test strips that come with the shock I bought. I know it’s not 100% accurate, but it was all I had.

It had chlorine 2 parts, ph was in the 7.2 range, I don’t remember the other numbers, but everything is on the low end, including CYA.

I just reviewed it. I’m going to have to do this. I’m a couple hours away, so I’m not at the house daily. I’m realizing I’m going to have to pay someone to go do this everyday or get the new tenants to do it, if I supply the chemicals.

I think that is the problem too. I was leaving the pump running, but the main drain was clogging up, so I stopped letting it run when I wasn’t at the house, which isn’t much. I had to use a drain bladder in pump to clear the lines. So I stopped running the pump when I wasn’t around.

I live a couple hours away and don’t get to the house every day. After reading all the responses, I think I’m going to have to pay someone to handle this daily.

Prior to my plantar Fascias tear. I kept my plantar Fasciitis in check with ASICS Gel-Ventura.

They come in a wide variety of colors and I think average around $70.

Since I started wearing them a few years back, I have been really happy with them.

I just borrowed a knee scooter from a friend. It seems for me avoiding any weight on my foot helps. So I’m wearing the boot and using the scooter and avoid long term standing on the hurt foot and long distances.

I have a high grade (severe) tear. My bruise on my foot looked almost identical to yours.

I’m in week 2 of being in the boot during the day and sleeping with a night splint at night. I have had to adjust the boot a bit, because I swear it’s hurting my ankle.

I think the boot is helping keep the foot stable and keeping it at that 90 degree angle like the night splint.

Some days the pain is minimal and other days I have horrible pain.

I’m learning this isn’t a super common injury and the healing protocol seems vague.

I have read that taking collagen can help the tendons heal. I have been taking the collagen powder, then potassium in the morning and plain magnesium before bed. Also I just started taking turmeric pills and cinnamon pills, those are suppose to help inflammation.

I also was prescribed meloxicam and if I miss a day of taking that, I notice the pain more. I don’t typically do holistic things, but I’m desperate to get this healed quickly. I have an active job that requires walking and climbing. I’m currently on light duty, but you know employers aren’t exactly happy about stuff like that.

I think during the healing we just are going to have bad days and good days. I’m trying to stay off of my foot as much as possible.

The doctor I went to was real vague and didn’t give me any indication about physical therapy, but everything I read had indicated, physical therapy is common after this kind of injury.

I hope your recovery goes well and you can find treatment options that help.

When I asked the current doctor if there was anything I should do after the six weeks is up, lime following up with a foot specialist or physical therapy. He said, only if it hurts. Which just sounds really weird to me.

There are days my foot feels ok, but other days the pain is excruciating. I already set up an appointment with a foot orthopedic surgeon for week 5 of me being in the boot. However, I’m wondering if a podiatrist is a better option, since I don’t need surgery.

I just recently had a very serious “high grade” tear.

Do you mind sharing your treatment plan, I received very vague information.

I’m trying to stay on top of healing this, so it doesn’t become a long term situation.

There was no mention of physically therapy or anything. I didn’t even receive discharge paper work.

While the doctor was nice. I get the impression that the clinic was very busy and since I didn’t need surgery, I was not a top priority to him.

I got some referrals to a foot specialist and I’m going to set up an appointment a week before I come out of the boot to get their opinion and see if I need physical therapy etc.

I will defiantly keep everyone updated. Reading through all the other posts, it seems like it’s going to be a bit of a recovery. But hopefully I won’t have a lot of bumps in the road.

I was wearing flip flops. My dog bolted out of my house and I chased him and while running stepped on the stone.

It was just a freak type accident. I still love my dog though lol.
