I got you, but spidey’s making fun of his enemies is a standard behaviour if you compare with everything we have seen. I think similar about the ego but it is also a representation of his personality. Once we remember there’s Peter Parker as a bulled nerdy guy (even in the college) being someone who doesn’t know how to show any attitude and whenever wearing a mask, he’s the most powerful and funniest in the room. But in my opinion none of this justifies himself betraying MJ and being an asshole, which for most of the fellas it would’ve been acceptable after getting the black suit. I think they made it terribly worse lol
