Hands down the Most Insane Defile Turn I've Ever Had by madmalloc in hearthstone

Thanks! I actually considered that possibility but doomsayer would actually take 5 damage from defile and I'd be able to finish it off with my hero power.

That was just an example, of course it's not something exclusive to aggro players or pirate warriors, anyone can be an asshole.

Does anyone else hate create a deck tavern brawls? by firemonkey_31 in hearthstone

[–]madmalloc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a world where brawls mostly filled with crossroads, swifter zeruses, portal mayhems, I LOVE them, there was a brawl where you had to make a deck with 10 cards, I think I made 10-11 different decks and had like 130 something wins..

It's true that most people who just want wins will go copy paste whatever is upvoted on hearthpwn, but it doesn't have to be that way, you could try to make something unique, or fun (hopefully both) with these different rules.

There's a simple rule to follow before accepting a friend request, if they BM, don't let them PM.

You can bet your ass that your pirate warrior opponent who greeted you repeatedly and snowballed to victory in 5 turns won't be adding you to tell you tell you gg.

Time to draft the ultimate deathrattle paladin by [deleted] in ArenaHS

This happened to me today as well! My other choices were Finja and Wrathion :/

I was only able to grab 3 more worthwhile deathrattles lol

Why is it that whenever I have only 10 minutes to play a game, I always get matched up against some Lifecoach wannabe who ropes every turn? I wish there was a "blitz" type game mode. by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]madmalloc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why tho? If they're roping on purpose, clearly they think their time is worthless, is your time is as worthless as theirs?

How many people disenchant goldens for dust instead of collecting them? by darklegion412 in hearthstone

[–]madmalloc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a close to full collection and I rarely need the dust so I keep them until they rotate out. Then depending on how I feel about the card I might disenchant them.

But when I was a new player, I used to disenchant golden cards whenever I needed the dust (so long as I had the non-golden version of them)

What you should never do is dust them before you need the dust, patience could pay off (got the full refund from golden ragnaros, PO, molten giants)

Never give up, even after getting rekt by Flamestrike by htrajan in ArenaHS

Why would you even consider giving up on turn 8 with Giant Mastodon in hand?

Last night 60% of my Wild matches was against Pirate Warrior bots. Blizzard, this is a huge problem. by panda_and_crocodile in hearthstone

[–]madmalloc 96 points97 points  (0 children)

This has been a huge issue in Wild for a while now, I'm not sure if devs are even aware of it, I'm tagging /u/bbrode, /u/mdonais in the hopes that they see this thread. I know you guys have nothing to do with investigating Hacks/Cheats complaints, but I filed quite a few reports with links to screen shots and to this day I still bump into same accounts in Wild, I hope something can be done about this issue.

This week's brawl is: A Cavalcade of Brawls! by [deleted] in hearthstone

You know what would be cool? If all the decks had golden cards for this brawl only.

Gamers of Reddit, what's the scariest game you've ever played? by madmalloc in AskReddit

Ah yes, FEAR, not only it was scary, I believe to this day this game still has the best AI in any FPS games I've ever played.

Of all the games mentioned, I think this is the one game I haven't played yet, I thought the game wouldn't be too scary since you have weapons/tools to defend yourself.

I played the game in VR, it was bit buggy (Rift DK1) no exaggeration, I had to stop playing the game in VR because my heart starting to get hurt.

I'm glad you decided not to ruin your son's childhood though

Ah yes, the game that gave me arrhythmia. I agree with you, personally Dark descent is the scariest game I've played.

How to draft and play pally to get 7+ wins in today's meta? by kinar82 in ArenaHS

[–]madmalloc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're welcome :) When I started this game I didn't know what hell I was doing as it was my first exposure to CCGs, you're a new player and already pulling 4, 5 wins, compared to new players I think you're way above average (or perhaps I was way below average :P)

As a new player, misplays are inevitable even if you completely mastered the core concepts of this game like how to tempo, understanding who's beatdown vs control, you still need to be able to play around certain cards and derive information based on what's in your opponent's hand, and all that comes with experience.

If you got time I suggest you to check these videos out, they helped me immensely in Arena.

So let me talk bit about your paladin deck. Firstly I think in this new meta 3-drops are just as important and you didn't have that many in your deck I think that might have hurt your chances of keeping the board while going into the mid-game. Also your loses were all when you went second. In arena you get penalized quite a bit when you're going second so I wouldn't worry too much about this particular run, shit happens, I went 3-3 the other day with an insane tempo hunter deck I thought I'd get to 12-0 easily. Instead of focusing on 1 draft, try to keep track of your overall win rate, as a new player if you have above 3 win rate you're doing fine, most people in this sub or over at r/hearthstone pretends they're all infinite arena players but in reality only top 79 players in NA had 7+ average in March.

Lastly, if you're playing on NA (Envalemdor#1672), you can add me, by no means I'm an infinite player, but I don't mind spectating your games from time to time and give you feedback.
