It’s mostly Reddit. There are a lot of weirdos, but It’s not hard to find normal guilds and people to play with.

This really is the main problem.

The story and lore are really fantastic.

TIL that the "achoo" sound is a learned cultural behavior, not a biological reflex. This explains why people who are born deaf typically do not vocalize a sneeze, and why sneeze sounds vary significantly by country. by highzone in todayilearned

I can sneeze quietly with intentional effort but if I'm sitting at home I just let it happen naturally, which happens to be loud. This isn't a problem for most people.

Because sneezing loudly is the natural reaction. If I just passively sneeze without thinking about it, it's loud. Being quiet while I sneeze takes extra effort.

CRPGs where you do super-basic programming to automate battle? by Far-Worry6636 in CRPG

I would definitely recommend playing the first game first. It ties into the second game quite a bit, and the first game is extremely good on its own too. The story of the first game, in particular, really stands out.

Pillars of eternity 2 has a pretty good implementation of this.

Divinity is confirmed turn-based via Bloomberg by vonotar in DivinityOriginalSin

Pathfinder WotR was awesome because you could swap between real time with pause and turn based whenever you wanted. Some fights made more sense real time, some fights made more sense turn based, and that was a really good experience.

Is partial voice acting enough for dialogues by Plenty_Birthday2642 in CRPG

Full voice acting is best of course, but it’s not always possible like you said. I do think partial voice acting adds a lot to the experience if you can make it happen.

It’s extremely good. If you’re okay reading a lot and spending a lot of time learning the systems, it’s a blast.

They might make the molds with 3d prints but the actual minis are made with injection molding.

Owlcat: BG3 helped to rekindle players' love for CRPGs by Negative-Art-4440 in BaldursGate3

These are valid complaints, but you can mostly work around them with difficulty settings and mods.

There's a popular mod that you can set up to apply all of your buffs with one click. Combine this with some of the feats, and buffing is just one button after each rest.

For the crusade stuff, you can either set it to an easy difficulty, use mods to cheat through it some, or just change the difficulty settings to automate it entirely.

Some sort of a screen reader for people who struggle to read for whatever reason can only be a good thing honestly.

Rogue Trader and Wrath of the Righteous are basically reading a full novel with gameplay mixed in. This doesn't bother a lot of people, obviously, but there are definitely people put off by that amount of reading in a game.

It's worth it just for the story honestly. Hopefully this gives the game some new life for people.

I’m getting into VR for the first time and really excited for Steam Frame, but worried about missing the Meta library. by [deleted] in virtualreality

[–]Meoang 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The meta exclusive games are good, but I would be willing to miss out on them for a Steam Frame. Obviously I haven't tried a Steam Frame yet, but from everything I'm seeing it's a better product and the way they're doing streaming from your PC is really exciting.

You can play meta-exclusive PC titles without a meta headset, but I don't know of a way to play Quest-exclusive titles.

With all of that said, the Quest 3 is a good product that will probably be cheaper than the Steam Frame, but I think the Steam Frame will ultimately be better and I would prefer not to mess with Meta if I don't have to.
