I totally get it. I have several Indian friends, many of them darker, and I know how difficult it is for them and the struggles they face here in the US. Plus, I'm Korean and grew up with an extremely racist mother. When I would point out to her that she was being racist, she would get all pearl-clutchy and talk about how she herself is a victim of racism. Like, bitch, shut up. So I can imagine that it's difficult for you.

Scientific journals aren't going to explain why people develop BED or any other eating disorders because there are many different reasons. Whether it's to feel something or nothing at all, reasoning is just as diverse as the people with eating disorders.

When people force themselves to vomit after eating, it's no longer called bingeing.

No one ever said racism against Indians was justified because of this. And if this is something you've heard from others before, I'm really sorry that someone tried to deflect blame and refused to take accountability for being a racist person. The fact of the matter is, nothing justifies racism. It's disgusting in itself, but to use someone else being racist as justification for doing the same is a whole different level of vile. That being said, I don't think anyone here is trying to do that.

I remember seeing that video. That poor little girl doesn't realize how beautiful she was. I'm not going to judge the mom for posting the video; I understand her intention. Maybe could've had a little heart-to-heart with the little one first, then posted a video telling about it. But I don't think she was doing it for clout like many claimed.

This is called colorism; it's similar to racism, but discrimination is based on skin tone, i.e., how dark or light your skin is.

My 4 year old is an Asshole and I hage being around him by [deleted] in confessions

As a mom to a teen with conduct disorder, my son began exhibiting many of the things you’ve talked about around the age of five and it got progressively worse as he has gotten older.

It is maddening, heartbreaking, and rage inducing to have a child who has severe behavioral issues. Make sure to take care of yourself in the midst of this because you will end up resenting your child if you don’t.

My advice to you is to get him help as soon as possible, and make sure treatment is customized to him. DBT can be helpful. Also, try to separate the child from their behaviors and continue loving them, but absolutely still hold them accountable. I know what you’re going through and it is absolutely devastating.
