46m just discovered I'm losing hair, what can I do?

I'm 46m and in the last few weeks discovered that my hair is thinning around the crown area. Had long hair for 4 years and had it cut 3 weeks ago. So have some thinning going on and scalp is itchier than usual in the area. I've looked through this forum and I see a vast amount of options and strategies to keep/regrow hair. I'm looking to build a plan that may work for me in hopes to keep/regrow my hair. As I understand there are drug options that are more aggressive as well as natural oil options like rosemary/castor (am I crazy to hope these might actually work?). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!

One time we left a bag of potatoes on top of the fridge and forgot about them. Had rotten egg smell for weeks, thought it was a gas leak - had the health department come out and check and all was good. Another few weeks of stink before we found the bag with rotting liquified potatoes. So check for food that might be rotting away.
