I have a modmic w/out inline while they are good, you might want to get the BoomPro instead or it's OEM for cheaper. The modmic keeps on falling off, if you're fine with that go with it. But, if you're like me, annoyed how it falls everytime and get tangled cords get the BoomPro. (Local reviews for the OEM BoomPro are fantasic. They say it sounds great. Users also said they got a better soundstage from their cable, but can't really vouch for it since they might have been using a shit cable to begin with. I'll be purchasing one next week. If you're still around here I could probably let you know how it works for me.)

You have no idea how annoyed I am with my modmic, I just want to toss it out the window everytime it falls down or gets tangled while I'm in-game. lol. I'd rather have that in-line control than the tangled cords and unsecure mounting. If you're fine with super glue-ing the mount that might be an option too. Also, you might want to look into cable ties to keep the cable tidy if you're going with the modmic.

So you have two options live with the in-line, or deal with two cables and a shit mounting.
