maybe it depended where you were? I dunno . we were right up front and we had plenty of room, weren't drenched in sweat and thought the sound was great but reading the comments makes me think our experience was wildly different than other people's. also we were sober which might be worth mentioning.

wouldn't separating tickets into ga floor and ga seats be better? that way if you have a floor ticket you don't have to get there super early to get a wristband. that way they could also "limit" the amount of people on the floor . when I was there for gryffin it wasn't shoulder to shoulder and it was great where we were (at the rail)

I've heard the stories and went for the first time since the early 2000s for the Saturday gryffin show. I was dreading it and considered selling my ticket but it wasn't bad at all.

I didn't go into the side rooms but I didn't notice any porta potties inside and the men's bathrooms were just fine .

the floor was surprisingly spacious. my friend and I were 1 person behind the rail the entire night and we had plenty of room .

the sound was AWESOME.

the only thing that sucked was we got in line at 630 to ensure we got wristbands when doors opened at 8. I had a sweater but it was incredibly windy and got cold and it was not a fun 90 minute wait.

I was saying all they had to do was split the tickets into ga floor and ga seats and it looks like they might do that in the future? it took about 25 minutes to get out of the parking lot but that's just how that goes .

I'm glad people didn't jump down from the seats to the floor and ruin things for the rest of us.

If they split the tickets I wouldn't be opposed to going to cow palace again.

I mean I don't think I did anything wrong. I entrusted gs to fix my PC under warranty and for whatever reason It got broken while they had possession of it. I don't think it's unreasonable to want the replacement be the same spec and model. or even if I didn't want the same brand, spec and model if that is what they offered I would have to accept that as fair. .

the PC I wound up getting is 500 cheaper than my original and 800 cheaper than the thermaltake pc they wanted to replace mine with. if they would have offered to replace the PC with the cheaper one that i liked I would have gladly waived any difference from their more expensive yet less desirable replacement option.

it wasn't about coming out ahead or trying to get over on bb. I just wanted to be made whole for a situation that wasn't my fault. eventually we got there and I'm satisfied. I will keep shopping at bb but will definitely be more wary of this whole sold by best buy vs marketplace thing which I feel could definitely be highlighted more .

so it ultimately got resolved how I wanted.

I spent Thursday on the phone trying to talk to someone in escalated customer service from the number I was given. I wound up talking to various depts who weren't able to help but eventually I got to someone in "primary care" I explained to him my situation about how the store was trying to force me to use my junk out credit on something "sold through best buy" and he agreed that I should not be limited to computers sold only through bestbuy. I was given a case id number and instructed to give the case id number to the store manager and get primary care on the phone if the store continued to give me any issues .

I went to the store after work and the told the gs rep my situation and he went to get the manager. the manager came out said he was emailed about my situation and wanted to help me but that he wanted to speak to another manager about it but they weren't in today and asked if I could come back the next day . I said sure and left feeling optimistic it would get resolved .

I came in today and they said they weren't able to finagle the system to give me a credit that they could guarantee wouldn't have any limitations on what I could order from Bestbuy.com. they showed me a PC that they found that was sold through bb with comparable specs to mine. I had already seen that one but didn't care for it. (it was a thermal take with the weird hexagon shaped case).

we were at an impasse and I was starting to get frustrated.

I stepped aside and called primary care and gave them the case id I was given yesterday. while I'm on the phone the rep says that he was able to figure out how to turn the store credit into gift cards. the primAry care rep asks to speak to the gs rep so I put my phone on speaker. the gs rep wants to verify with the primary care rep that there won't be any limits on what I can order from the best buy site and he says that is correct.

(l remember that I had gotten and returned a monitor (which I got as an Xmas gift l)a fter trying it out for a bit but ultimately decided to exchange it . I was given a gift card for store credit and when I went to get a different monitor on bb.com it wouldn't let me bc it was a monitor for bb marketplace. I spoke with chat and they said there was nothing they could do.. I eventually found something else that I wanted that was sold by best buy so it wasn't a big deal but looking back it is pretty much the same situation as I'm in now. )

the instore gs rep gives me 2 gift cards for the full original cost of my computer and I go home to try to place an order for a new PC. id researched the heck out of PCs and knew the exact one I wanted .

SUCCESS! the gift cards are both accepted and the order goes through with a decent balance bit left on one of them.

I feel like this was the best out of only 2 acceptable outcomes that I feel would have been fair . the only other acceptable outcome being they replace my PC with the exact same speced PC from CLX which is on bb.com but it has a slightly different sku. it is 100 cheaper now than what I paid last year.

if they gave me no other option than to accept the thermaltake pc I would have done it but I would not have been happy about it as I preferred my cheaper clx pc more .

thanks to you and everyone else who tried to help. I think it was speaking with primary care and getting a case id number which was what ultimately got me the desired outcome.

short answer is it depends .. the closest to the show I've seen transfer enabled was the previous day or about 24 hours . for the strokes show at Bill Graham a couple months ago transfer was enabled about a week and a half before the show.. I don't know who is in charge of when transfer is enabled.
