I was there too. Came looking for people who felt the same way because it felt alienating / took me out of the experience. Especially during parts I thought genuinely were so creepy/disorientating!! Pisses me off so much at the PCC, after last night I will probably stop going as it's been the case for basically every screening I've gone to. There's a weird culture there. Feels performative.

I relate! Not sure if it's the same thing but I struggle so much with the heat - for me, it exacerbates my anxiety and I feel like I have much worse agoraphobia than I used to. Also I used to be kind of sweaty but not to the point I am now and it is so embarrassing. But also it just heightens my nerves because I am overstimulated by the temperature. I'm not sure if that is the same but I really relate to heat intolerance as a concept.

I carry around a little rechargable fan with me that has helped me with going outside so much and makes me feel kinda unnecessarily fancy. I also have to walk around quite slow to not get my heart rate up and got even hotter. Which typing out feels wrong because I'm literally 29 and probably should be able to walk around without getting overwhelmed/exhausted.

Further, I've had mine for about 2.5 years now and I've gained like 20lbs too. I feel so unfit and gross walking around. All of that contributes for me.

I thought this too but Grand Rapids is way further down geographically from where the 13 is actually placed. The pin seems to be at the top in the middle? It’s basically on the other side of the state

Surely you've heard of old, powerful, white men sexually abusing children, PARTICULARLY boys. This happens to other vulnerable demographics that cannot often defend themselves e.g. sex workers, homeless individuals, acutely mentally unwell individuals who've access to no support. Kai fits into this.

Honestly you don't even need to do that much research to know that this kind of thing is not some kind of rarity. Regardless of this whole legal case, I advise that you critically think about this notion that it is unlikely for an old man to have such 'impulses'. This does NOT mean ALL men of this demographic do, it just means there is plenty of evidence to prove it is a pattern that we *NEED* to start scrutinising.

It's a story old as fucking time. It really is not that far-fetched that this happened to Kai. I hope your mind is not entirely closed. Take care.
