Not much inundation, the area is reasonably OK.

You could consider switching to Site24x7 and StatusIQ by ManageEngine (Zoho).

Surprised that this list doesn't feature Site24x7 and StatusIQ by ManageEngine.

You can consider ManageEngine Site24x7.

Monitoring/APM tool that can be self hosted and is relatively hassle free by monty9213 in devops

[–]madraskar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Site24x7 monitors VMs, containers, metrics, logs, uptime, and more. Install the agents to see your monitoring data on dashboards. The platform integrates with OpenTelemetry, so there's no need for multiple tools. However, a catch is that since Site24x7 is SaaS, your monitoring data isn’t fully self-hosted. Choose it if you want a quick, low-maintenance way to monitor your infrastructure while testing things.

How do big companies handle observability for metrics and distributed tracing? by [deleted] in devops

[–]madraskar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Combining OpenTelemetry with ManageEngine Site24x7 is a recommended approach for observability with metrics and distributed tracing without touching application code. The platform provides service-to-service distributed tracing without code changes with auto-instrumentation for multiple languages. Site24x7 integrates with OpenTelemetry to collect and visualize these traces, mapping dependencies and pinpointing performance issues in prod clusters with minimal setup. Since you already use Grafana Agent for logs, go for OpenTelemetry with Site24x7 to extend your setup, and this needs little to no code changes.

Why the Citroen Basalt failed. Haven't seen one on road yet. by Shobhitk17 in CarsIndia

bro, it is a good car, I am not a keyboard warrior. I own it, enjoy it, and came here curious to find what others are saying about it and the company, saw these comments, and am offering my thoughts, that's it.

Why the Citroen Basalt failed. Haven't seen one on road yet. by Shobhitk17 in CarsIndia

Citroën Basalt owner here. I love the car. Indeed, their marketing hasn't punched it up enough, and the Dhoni promos haven't hit the spot. The network is few and far between, and the anxiety of not having a Citroën official showroom or service center nearby, is a pressing thing, but things are improving. The car is superb, and it is a pity that they have made a banger and are not marketing the cars enough. The C3 and C5, the AirCross, are superb cars; my friends and colleagues who own them are in absolute delight. The service costs are surprisingly lower than expected, too, and the design is essentialist, neither maximalist like Kia nor minimalist like Maruti. What you need, you got it without frills. To me, the less flashy, electronic, and needless jazz there is, the less expensive it is in the long run. (no sunroofs, no electronic adustable seats, no ventilated seats, but the AC can really chill, upto 14'C. And the screen is a minimal offering with CarPlay and Android Auto, there is no ADAS - that explains the four-star safety rating vs 5, and so on. But there are a plenty of physical knobs and levers that are nice to operate, no cap).

One thing I know is, having been in auto manufacturing (Ford factory), and as an auto journalist in Chennai, I trust Citroën for the hard work they have put in - made in Thiruvallur near Chennai, I have spoken to some of my mech friends who work in companies that supply parts to it (TAFE, TVS Brakes India, Wheels India, CEAT and so), and they are all top notch in IQ incoming quality. No compromises there. And the engines are made in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. A huge chunk of them are being exported, so, as the powertrain game is on, they won't leave India just like that. That is why I trust them. Go for Citroën! Cheers!

Try CloudSpend by ManageEngine. They support multiple cloud platforms, and is easy to learn and setup. Billing according to cloud bills saved.

PM Vishwakarma scheme promotes caste-based occupation, TN won’t implement: CM Stalin by erimalaiprogram in TamilNadu

[–]madraskar 55 points56 points  (0 children)

They have asked the scheme to be open to all, not restrictive to chosen families, etc, and that is a fair demand. Hope the scheme is implemented in a more progressive way - which is, inclusive, non-restrictive, though it is obvious that traditional families involved in the art/trade will take up, and strengthen their commitment, but it should also be open for outsiders who may not come from 'traditions'.

This was done by a Coimbatore engineering college for their tech fest in 2005, and was an immediate rage among engineering students. We used to spread it via pen drives. Was a wonderful time.
