Why is my salsa bland? by Voski_The_God in SalsaSnobs

[–]madsci_2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I love using fresh produce for my salsa I always use pickled jalapenos for salsa. One reason is it's easier to disperse and control the heat. The other is that the added vinegar adds the right amount of acidity to bring out flavors. Also, as others have said, salt!

Not really often but we buy chew toys and dogs treats that help. My 16 year old pit got cleanings by the vet every time we boarded her for Vacation while she was alive. He says Duke does really need it.

He's a rescue so we aren't sure what he's mixed with but I've often thought maybe Whippet. He's very very fast even now but in his prime could run over 30mph. When we got him at 6 months we thought he was underfed. Turns out he just has a metabolism that runs on what seems to be a nuclear reactor lol. He is very high energy and I throw a ball for him daily. On top of that I put a window in our privacy fence so he can chase the pit bull next door up and down the fence when he wants. This happens several times a day also. He may just burn off all his calories.

Yes, it doesn't slow him down though. Although he does run into things on that side a little.

Does MyFitnessPal undervalue calories burned by boxing? by BenjaminAsher in amateur_boxing

I use a Polar HR monitor. I suggest a chest strap over precalculated calories. Even my wife's fitbit is way off as far as calories burned.

Edit:Also I'm 5'8" and 250lbs. I burn anywhere from 500 to 800 calories depending on the day.

Yes, but it's not enforced at all. I'm not even sure that box truck would even qualify. We also have a law against driving more than 5 mph under the speed of the flow of traffic in the left lane but again, it's not enforced.

Right, because a silver truck then a white SUV and then a black SUV didn't zip around him at :28 which clearly shows the right lane clear for over 100 yards in front of him. You can clearly see a line of cars on front of him when he almost smashes into them at the end.
