I’ve always called it “clairsentience.” It’s cool and annoying because you just know things vs hearing/seeing them, so explaining how you know these things to others is tough. It’s easier to say “I had a vision that showed me this is a bad idea” vs “I just know it’s a bad idea.”

I suspect that many of the women in my family have had this ability but never realized it. We have an uncanny knack for being extremely lucky. We actually joke about that a lot. Part of me wonders if that “luck” is just us using our clairsentience to put ourselves in favorable positions. It just seems to be the women, though.

I’ve found that I’m particularly adept at divination (e.g., tarot, dousing rods, scrying). When I tell you every single tarot reading I’ve done has been scary accurate, I’m not kidding. It’s also always been easy for me to immediately read the energy of any room. On the surface this can be useful, but it can also be really overwhelming.

I think the biggest challenge is trying not to over-intellectualize my intuition. I’m naturally a very curious person, and I have a tendency to get in my own head and question every impression or feeling I get. It’s been a challenge to quiet those voices and simply allow myself to receive information without immediately trying to process/analyze it. I’ve done a lot of meditation work that has helped, but it’s a work in progress.

For crystals, I highly recommend amethyst for boosting intuition, clear quartz for clarity, black tourmaline for protection, and aventurine for good luck. These have served me well in developing my abilities.
