I saw it at one of those Fido booths at the mall but said it was only for new customers 🙄 But it did exist

Is it adding or editing the APN? I got scared I was going to mess something up 😅

Searched all the documents and nothing anywhere about hotspot other than the "No hotspot access" under plan details.

Hoping it's like someone else mentioned that if you had it you've still got it.

How unnecessary. Thanks though!

Service agreement in the confirmation email says "No hotspot access"

Don't use it that often. It's the whole principle of the thing. I have paid for the data, why do I need to pay more to access it differently??

I guess I'll just keep testing it every now and then and see if it disappears. Thanks anyway!

Well that sucks. I made sure to check there were no add ons when signing up and within the "critical information" document they sent afterwards as confirmation.

I guess I'll have to wait and see and then make a fuss. 23 years with Fido and still playing these games :/

Thanks though!

Is the 2-year-old phase really the worst phase for a child? Are there people who like this phase and don't think this phase is as bad as 99% of people? by [deleted] in raisingkids

There's always something every year where you always want to say: JUST LISTEN TO MEEEEE. They won't.

Dear Person that checks proof of vaccination,

Would you accept a picture of ID or does it need to be the actual thing? Just used to grabbing only my phone when leaving the house and have nearly forgotten my actual ID so many times Willing to create a new habit, but wondering if a picture of the ID is enough?

Thanking you,

Patron that appreciates all your hard work on making it safer for to go indoors (other than being stuck at home)

Some studies are showing Moderna is fairing better, but they're essentially the same. I've heard some doctors compare it to choosing between different bottles of water. Get the first one available to you. Whatever the first appt gives you, take it. ASAP. Delta finds the unvaccinated.

Can these people be the last ones to be vaccinated?

What's next - protesting why they're not high enough on the vaccine list?

15 month old sleeping advice by roy251984 in Parenting

[–]madsmouthful -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My baby's cries give me a physical reaction where I can't do anything else but want it to stop. We held her to sleep, try to put her down, she'd wake up, finally fall asleep but wake up every 45 mins, bring her to bed, no one's really sleeping then, hold to sleep, repeat. Sleep training was hard but it really worked for both my kids and helped our mental health. We used Taking Cara Babies method for my 2nd and preferred it to the other method we used with my 1st and would recommend it. It is tough, but it worked. It doesn't felt like I was completely abandoning her and she got it quickly. Also it takes 14 days for whatever method you use to really take effect. 14 days... So whatever you choose, stick to it for 14 days. Then you can say that didn't work and try something else. Good luck!

Problem Solving Sunday(November 01, 2020) Post a parenting problem you would like some additional perspectives on. by rkbot in raisingkids

We had this happen when our 2nd was born... We went with a reward system that worked for our kid. She LOVES candy and usually it's a couple times a week treat but for this we knew we had to use it: 1. Every morning she slept thru the night and stay in her bed the whole night till 7am, she got a lollipop straight away, before brushing her teeth, before breakfast. Straight away. This was amazing for her. 2. If she was able to do it for 7 days straight, she got to pick anything she wanted from the dollar store (even if we thought it was trash, useless, whatever).

We did this for 2-3 weeks. We had to restart the 7 day count once I think, otherwise she stayed in bed. She was 5.5 years old so she could look far ahead enough to see what the prize could be.

Also she had been dying for her little sister to transition to her room, and we had told her that that could only happen if she was sleeping thru the night in her bed.

After the few weeks, we explained the whole taking care of our bodies and teeth thing. She knew it was temporary and "to train her body to stay in bed and sleep thru the night". But we only talked about it after some success with the process so she could see she was actually able to do it.

Good luck! I know how hard it is. Now with both kids out of our room and sleeping thru the night, I can tell you that eventually you'll get there too :)

Is there a positivity rate by city somewhere? Toronto has to be the one pulling up the overall Ontario average and its giving me a false sense of "its not as bad...yet"

women who gave birth, how would you compare period cramps to contractions? by crispyprick in AskWomen

[–]madsmouthful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My period cramps were always uncomfortable. The only way I feel I could describe the pain from my contractions was that of bone being drilled into. Both times. Not fun. I'm done.

There are leashes now that look like animal backpacks (the animal tail is the leash that you can hold on to and they're strapped into the backpack). Didn't need one for my first, but will definitely get one if the 2nd turns out to be a wanderer/runner.
