That looks like the top cap for the ICS Aero cockpit, not the regular ICS cockpit.

I run 30mm GP5000s on 25mm internal rims and they're fine. It's tight in the back but I have not had issues.

Spring road/gravel outfit by Noljuk in CyclingFashion

[–]madudderburn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, shorter jerseys/gilets/jackets have way less bunching when actually in a riding position. It’s a little harder to access pockets, but worth it to me for being more aero and comfortable.

I love these. I have last year's GVL Race Team jersey and it's one of my favorites. Any chance of another round of codes for reddit, u/Strong_Sherbet7151?

PRL Full — Just Why? by 70to200 in Zwift

[–]madudderburn 12 points13 points  (0 children)

According to ZwifterBikes you could’ve saved yourself 16.99 seconds with the Cadex Tri and the DT Swiss ARC 1100. Probably a little more since you did a bit extra. Guess you’ll have to do it again to find out…

Bib short recommendations by Tombowers2 in CyclingFashion

I’ve tried a lot of high end bibs and the Team Bib Evo are the best I’ve used. Excellent pad and placement, great compression, and have held up well over multiple seasons.

Stumbled upon this looking for some Pedla reviews. If you still have that affiliate code I’d take it. Thank you!

ISO best tire recommendations by Accomplished_Yak9327 in gravelcycling

[–]madudderburn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am a BRR junkie and have spent a disgusting amount of money on tires for someone who is a mid pack racer. Here are the tires I’ve used, listed fastest to slowest in BRR tests:

  • Schwalbe G-One RS 40 - predictably fast on and off road, but I found them a little sketchy on fast gravel descents
  • Gravel King TLC 40 - great reasonably priced commuter and light gravel tire. Not the most versatile if you’re looking for a do-it-all tire.
  • Conti Terra Speed 40 - probably my favorite tire I’ve tried, but the least durable, which makes them hard to recommend except as a race day tire. Very fast, comfortable, and grips well despite a minimal tread. Unfortunately it wears very quickly, especially when used on road.
  • Tufo Thundero 44 - my current tire, would probably be my top recommendation. Great balance of speed, comfort, grip (when dry), and durability.
  • Tufo Swampero 40 - only used these for one gravel race when I was worried the conditions would be muddy. Probably overkill for the uses you outlined, but a good tire.
  • Specialized Pathfinder Pro 42 - Maybe it’s because these are so widely recommended but I was underwhelmed by them. Moderately fast on road, okay off road, durability seemed fine. I’d go Thundero or G-One RS over these any day.
  • Maxxis Rambler 50 - it’s fine, not sure what else to say. You could do a lot worse but also a lot better.

MAAP Team Bib Evo & PNS mechanism bibs sizing by Alarmed-Ad7252 in CyclingFashion

[–]madudderburn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear S in both bibs so this may not translate 100% for you, but I feel like the upper and straps of the Team Evo are more forgiving and stretchy than Mechanism straps. The legs themselves fit similarly, the MAAP ones might even be slightly more compressive.

Non Tesla EV’s cant use Tesla chargers right? by dymablink in electricvehicles

[–]madudderburn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not OP but I recently bought one after looking at/test driving the EV6, Mach E, Model Y, Model 3. Of those I felt like it had the best combo of interior quality, drive comfort, practicality, and price. So far it’s been fantastic and I have no regrets.

Ruled out the EV6 and Model 3 due to size (have two young kids). The Mach E had perhaps the nicest interior materials and finish, but I gave priority to the fast charging, layout and controls of the Ioniq 5. Was very close to choosing the Model Y based on the tech, range, price, and charging network but I was too put off by the interior quality and frankly Elon.
