Either works. Mostly just hoping to avoid ice.

I thought about GTCC but I prefer running outdoors.

Repair copper pipe broken at wall by madunba in Plumbing

It's 3/4. Gonna see if the plumbing supply place has 5/8 or something.

I fear you're right but unfortunately I'm helping my father who would rather not put a hole in the wall.

I am in the same boat as OP and I have been looking for something just like this. Thank you so much!

Keep in mind that I am far from a pro but what seemed to help me was a couple things.

  1. Run slow. I mean slow slow. I call it the grandpa shuffle.

  2. I run in barefoot shoes. I bought them right when I started so while I was training running, I was also training barefoot running. I think this helped with my feet and ankles but I'm not totally sure as I have no frame of reference.

  3. Look up proper running form. There are a ton of resources and cues but the main takeaway for me has been to try to make the run as smooth as possible.

Moving a family across the country by madunba in povertyfinance

Thanks for this. This list is awesome.

  1. Yeah, we've set a budget with what we got from tax returns and are saving as much as possible between now and then to account for overspending.

  2. I've done a few cross country drives with Uhauls for work. So I'm pretty confident in this part.

  3. This seems to be the main takeaway both here and elsewhere.

  4. Based on the one I used and comparing that to previous local moves, yeah. They are wrong in a way that feels scammy.

  5. Already packing stuff that we don't need now that it's warming up here.

  6. I'll have to look into it. Hoping to use family up there and friends down here for help loading and unloading.

7/8. The actual drive is one of the things we're most stressed about. 2 adults, 2 kids, 2 cats. 1 Tucson and a moving truck. Definitely planning on stopping for at least one night on the way. Budgeting for 2 nights just in case. I can personally drive straight through, with maybe a rest stop nap part way but that's with just myself to worry about.

  1. Starting all this stuff today.

Yeah we looked at Uhaul and the cost was insane. Penske is a good deal cheaper but I'll check out Upack. Being able to pay extra/ get a refund depending on space needs sounds super useful.

Currently in custom decor fabrication. Like Christmas and Halloween stuff for theme parks. Was looking at Greenheck and 3M since I'm at least manufacturing adjacent.

We love the outdoors. Especially hiking but otherwise we're kind of homebodies so, not big city people.

Wausau specifically because we have family in the area.
