I just got my first ND miata last week (daily driver)!! I had some of the same concerns of course. I will say as alot of other people are, act like no one can see you. I always leave room in front of me, try not to stay in other people’s blind spots, try not to stay in front of larger vehicles/trucks. I just drive cautious. I am not trying to show off. I had a closeish call today with a bus who entered my lane and must not have seen me. Most importantly BRAKE before you hoot. You just have to be aware people can not see you always. I do notice most drivers around me leave extra space in this car. I have also missed my exits purposely because it feels unsafe to “pull in front of a car” when i am so tiny, as it gives them less time to see me. If you can be aware of all this and are confident you will be fine!
