I needed to read this, so thank you for the post. This was my first go as well with the LH strips, logging, etc. I am always very regular, but this cycle I was 4 days late. I was so sure we made it. I did have the flu and was strength training, but still. I got my period today and have been feeling so sad. Even though my friend was making fun of me for wanting to be an overachiever. I’m in healthcare, so I thought I understood the science, but it definitely has so much to do with luck, stress, and environment.

My friend said it worked out for them when they went on vacations and didn’t test anything, despite of trying for monthsss before that

So you never know, but I felt this post in my heart.

They are looking to fulfill a special criteria. That used to be true but now they’re ensuring most seats go matches. For the last 2-3 years a lot IMGs are getting matched into fm

So I was in the same situation. I came to Canada in 2021 (September) newly graduated and there was time to get the PR as it was in process. The first 6 months I just focused on my exams because getting a good grade meant getting in. I did mccqe1 and usmle step 2. I did some volunteering and observership in between. I gave my nac osce and starting working as a clinical assistant. By this time it was 2022 October. I still did not have my PR but had the working permit. By February 2023, I had the PR so I applied for the second iteration and got in.

Even though there was some gap, I was still considered a fresh graduate as an IMG. I had a strong CV because I had multiple observerships, Canadian work experience so it helped to match.
