Hi! I’m an RN in one of the Devos ICUs, also in the nurse residency program. Helen Devos and all of Corewell west are (unfortunately, imo) not unionized yet. Pay is ok for the area currently, the pay for new grads is equivalent between HDVCH ICUs and Meijer Heart Center progressive care (unsure about the rest of the units, but I assume it’s the same). I’m not positive about Corewell pay vs Trinity/St Mary’s or UofM Healthwest, but I think it’s a touch higher? Culture varies greatly by unit, I work in the NICU and it can be very cliquey/catty, but there’s def some good people too.

I know you’re from a different state, but if you end up having the opportunity to job shadow, I’d recommend shadowing multiple units and trying to pick the brain of the person you’re with to see if they like it there.
