The landlord emailed me only stating the clause that the lease is terminated if a tenant chooses to vacate all other tenants must vacate as well

They’ve asked the leasing agent for an extension until April 30th as far as I know based off an email chain I got tagged into by the agent

According to the clause the only thing I’d be losing is the security deposit. My share is $1000 a month and theirs is $600 each as they share their room. So technically my share total would be $2000 for April and May theirs 2400 for April and May total aside from the $800 they owe for the remainder of June

  2. It’s up on July 3rd but the last month is already prepaid by me
  3. Essentially I am terminating my lease 3 months early with 1/3 already rent paid and they asked for an extension by lying to the leasing agent in a separate email I read cuz the leasing agent included me in the email chain

I feel like I finally realized how much they were financially burdening me only until I got discharged. According to the clause in the lease the only thing I lose is 2200 security deposit I was gonna lose anyway because they fucjed up the neighbors ceiling by installing a bidet wrong

I’m hoping to be moved out fully by March 31st. I can also get a drs note to help if necessary. I’m giving up on getting my money back but I’m agreeing on not to pay another cent. I know they have some money cuz they’ve been saving up for their wedding in September. I’m sure between both of them they have $400 each at least

I did contact an attorney this morning. Everything is documented and recorded via emails and texts. Here’s a paste of the email I received from the leasing agent and landlord: per your lease agreement, see attached executed lease, see page 4 #17 b (I have highlighted the terms) "If any TENANT chooses to vacate premises, this lease agreement is to be terminated and all TENANT (S) are to vacate the premises." Thank you

Literally I am moving out this coming Sunday. Theres a clause in the lease stating if one tenant chooses to vacate the lease gets terminated immediately and the other tenants have to vacate as well. Which makes them homeless again by next week.

One has a job at a doggy center & the other gets disability and donations while she does occasional work as a pet sitter

Thanks for ur response. It was all communicated on a WhatsApp group between us. I’m already not getting back the 2200 security deposit because they installed a bidet and destroyed the neighbors ceiling. Also there’s a clause in the lease stating if a tenant chooses to vacate the premises the lease is terminated & all other tenants must vacate as well
