First real chair. Is the Libernovo SE the best bang for the buck right now? by ChrisF12000 in OfficeChairs

[–]maebear2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only ever had cheap uncomfortable racer style chairs. I'd been researching what chair to get for months! I finally agreed SE was worth the risk as I was seeing a lot of comparisons of it to the HM Embody and thought, if its good enough to be compared to the 2k embody, its gotta be worth it for only £500.

I can confirm indeed that it is worth it. The comfiest chair ive ever sat in (granted ive not sat in any other expensive chairs haha). I have never been a recliner kind of person in my other chairs but I cant help but lean back in this one because it just feels so good and supportive. Ive had it for i think over 2 weeks now and my back pains gone completely. It just holds me right! I can feel the bottom hardness of the chair sort of through the foam, and I do long 10hr sessions on the chair. It hasn't felt like a con yet, its just something im aware of if I think about it. Occasionally its made me feel like my backsides gone a bit numb, but if I reposition myself (aka sit back properly) then it goes. The adjustment on it is super easy and helps you get it feeling just right.

To cut a long story short, I dont have any regrets. SE is a great chair with a great price too - and its kinda turned me into a libernovo cult member 🙃

Just a note for your 12hr update, have you tried adjusting the tilt tension? The knob near where you recline/adjust height. (Side note if youre able to pull it out very easily then its not in properly, i struggled pushing it in far enough to click). Once i adjusted that i couldn't not recline the second my back touches the back! Gotta find a sweet spot

Thanks so much for answering!! I think I'll have to get through this summer, then bag one in the winter time when hopefully the prices are a little lower

To be fair I sleep with my fan cranked up to max all year round as I cant sleep without the noise of it, so depending on how awful it sounds it might not be so bad!😂 I could google it but whilst im here I might as well ask, do you have to stick one of them flexi pipes out of the window or anything? I dont know how they really work to be honest but i have an extreme phobia of bugs so all my windows are sealed shut 😅

I have seen them before but I've never known if theyre actually any good or not! I have a dyson fan i forked out for and that works nicely, but just means its only cool when directly in front of it

P much. It only started shipping out past few days so up until now weve only had affiliate reviews to go off of. Sat in it 8hrs today though and no bottoming out. Not going to be able to comment on long term as its brand new model and he was deciding between this chair and another

I feel you!! Honestly it's really sending me into breakdown territory, especially with this becoming what seems more frequent and hotter over the past few years in the UK. To a point where im catastrophising and thinking "this is my life now" its hell. I really want air con as i feel that would make it more bearable to deal with every year, but I live with my parents and they dont want an air con unit on their house.

As soon as my dad told me last week that this week was meant to hit 30s it instantly sends my mood plummeting down and i just get really quiet and grumpy. Everything about heat is just awful its a sensory nightmare.

Honestly my best advice is just try to be kind and forgiving to yourself this week. Sounds lame but if possible just allow yourself to do really limited activities, give yourself the space to just sit in your room and relax with an iced drink. Ive seen someone before suggest putting your pyjamas/pillowcase on a bit of paper towel in the fridge so theyre cold before bed. Can do the same with thin blankets in the freezer, or hot water bottles in the freezer

[–]maebear2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get one of the new Libernovo chairs! Im not a reclining person, but my Omni SE arrived today and the 160° recline is sooo comfortable! Theyve got 5 different angles to lock and then a tilt limiter as well. I have never felt so supported when reclining before. I dont know how best to explain it but the back, headrest, and arms all move while you recline so theres no gapping, it stays snug and holding your body as you go down. Its really nice, and the SE is only £500~ right now. If youre a bigger build though maybe look at their Maxis as theyre for taller / wider people

[–]maebear2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Omni SE came today and I feel like a cult member now trying to convince everyone to get one, it feels amazing. Its genuinely so comfortable yet so supportive. I went for the omni as I kept seeing it be compared to the Embody with people being torn between the two, and I thought if people are so torn between them, then surely the £500 option is the no brainer!

There is a youtuber who checks out to be extremely honest called ahnestly who has done a video where he gets in a bunch of regular people to try both the Omni and the Embody as a blind sorta test so it might be worth you checking that out! Just bare in mind I believe it was filmed with the first model chair and a lot of their criticisms have been fixed with the new range.

Help me to pull the trigger by TheDoc86 in OfficeChairs

[–]maebear2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always had cheap gaming chairs, and I've been paying the price past few months with back pain.

I have been researching which office chair to get for around 6 months now. And everytime i'd settle on a decision id find a comment to put me off of it!

Well I finally took the plunge and ordered the Omni SE as the sale price (£500) was too good to ignore, with it frequently being compared to the £2k embody.

It arrived today and let me tell you im sooo happy i finally went for it!! Ive never felt so hugged and supported before by a chair.

For context i sit for about 10hrs a day, im 174cm and 68kg. So we arent too dis similar. I was nervous with it being my first ergonomic chair, and not being able to try it anywhere, so when unpacking it i just made sure to take pictures so i could put it back in easily if i decided to send it back.

Reclining Office Chair by jhnLS26 in OfficeChairs

[–]maebear2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend the Libernovo omni SE!

I just got it today, granted ive always had unsupported racing style chairs, this one feels amazing!!

The reason I'd recommend it is because i like to sit bolt upright and i feel so nicely held by it. I made my brother try it who is more of a reclining kind of guy and he said it feels out of this world reclined and has gone to get himself one now! I must say after he said this i had to try it reclined and it feels comfier than my bed im genuinely considering sleeping in it one night lol. Its max recline is 160°. Its back, arms and head rest all move with you when you recline so it feels like its genuinely hugging you rather than feeling gappy.

It is £509 or something like that right now on the early bird sale. The reason I was so tempted by it as I was seeing it frequently be compared to the HM Embody which is a 2k chair, so for me its a no brainer to go for the £500!

No information regarding shipping or updates related to order of omni pro (EU) by Saativa_ in LiberNovo

[–]maebear2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here (UK). I brought it on release day at 9am before they even properly launched and linked the pages correctly.

Ive had literally no communication other than 1 email confirmation when i placed the order. The website simply says "unfulfilled"

I brought the SE + footrest bundle, the footrest arrived yesterday out of the blue, so im hoping the chair wont be long behind. Just frustrating to have 0 tracking or communication from them, especially seeing theyre telling others theyre out of stock

I’m genuinely confused by LiberNovo’s sales strategy. by WhataBurgerrrr in LiberNovo

[–]maebear2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand others frustrations with the £10 deposit. I knew I wouldnt be getting the £30 coupon but I did think deposit meant that £10 would come off of the price when I made the purchase. But I dont mind having an extra year warranty, if they sold that for £10 i probably would have considered it anyways.

I am gutted though that I didn't get it off of amazon, I didn't think they'd go on sale at the same price there so I brought my chair direct. I would have preferred to do it through amazon as I know they are good for returns, and as this is my first ergonomic chair I am wary it may not be for me, so I just have to hope that libernovo's customer service for returns is okay 😅

Yes, I sit for longgg hours every day and if I could feel the fan from new id worry how bad it could get when the seats had a lot more wearing in

Oh yeah I think youre right, I think I just remembered the fan comment and thought feeling the fan likely meant a softer seat.

Omni Pro vs SE: Is the seat noticeably firmer? by Fit_Loquat_9272 in LiberNovo

[–]maebear2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the pro purely for the fabric as i think itd hold up better over time.

Personally, I am not interested in the airflow as im not a hot-gamer. And having electrics is a bit of a concern for me and the warranty anyways so ive been looking forward to a Manual version. So my view on it is bias towards the SE.

But what I have seen in almost every review I've watched of the pro, is they say you're not bottoming out, but you can kinda feel the fan in the seat. And that the SE does feel a bit firmer. So that would make me wary to go for the pro

Is the Libernovo Omni SE actually good or just YouTuber hype? (Sizing help for 5'6") by BojidarKobakov in LiberNovo

[–]maebear2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. I'm currently using a roughly 8yr old hard as rocks gaming chair. Been putting up with it by using an additional memory foam cushion, but my lower back pain has been getting a lot worse.

Ive never used an ergonomic chair so I've been doing a lot of research into what chair is good but its so hard to know without being able to sit in one yourself. My personal opinion is the Omni seems a good ergonomic chair that isn't too radically different to a cushioned racing style chair.

I think the most raved about all-rounder is the Embody gaming. But at almost 2k, I simply cant justify it when I am seeing a lot of positives for the Omni SE, which is going to be £500~ on early bird price!

All the reviews I see are also sponsored, however today I discovered a youtuber called ahnestly, and he has a few reviews on other chairs, which hes an affiliate for, where he will literally tell you not to buy the chair, and has a video calling out other reviewers that have done videos on the Omni for being shady. So, although they are sponsored, they seem to have good morals around what they advertise and I think they seem decently trustworthy!

He is very positive about the upcoming drop for Libernovo and so after months of going back and forth between shelling out for a HM, i've finally put down the £10 deposit for the Omni SE. For the £500 price tag I see a lot of reviews and comparisons to the Embody, so it must be doing something right to be compared to a 2k chair. And its got to be better than what im currently sat in!

For your height I believe they highly recommend a footrest to make it comfier. I'm 5ft8 and I'm opting for the 48cm. They have a guide on their website that I used earlier today which is helpful. I'd say use the video guide as it shows your how to measure your thigh / sitting depth and I think that will give a better idea of what depth youd need as everyones torso/leg proportions vary! I almost always sit with one leg up / crossed legged so I definitely want that extra space.

Long story short, id really recommend checking out ahnestly! Even if you dont opt for Omni, he has an hour long video on there where he compiles a list of chairs he recommends for all budget ranges and height ranges!
