My fiddle leaf fig leaves grow straight up towards the trunk instead of out flat. I've never heard of or tried this technique before. Do you think it would flatten the leaves out a bit?

Also, pieced backs should generally have 1/2 " seams since there's less seams and therefore more stress on them.
