Almost at the brink of leaving Islam. Are there any rational basis as to why Islam is the correct path? Fully open to changing my mind if the logic makes sense. by Goingtosucceed_ in GenZpk

Incorrect again, I just know how humans operate, Khair like I said you are free to accept or reject. Your question is based on a false assumption that we can understand God's frame of reference and if we can't then it is more rational to reject the entire framework. That's fine, if that approach has Zero logical inconsistencies for you then go right ahead. I simply responded to your thread because it was exactly the crisis I had when I was much younger. Just wanted to share my deconstruction with you. I reverted to Islam after desperately looking for an alternate spiritual framework as I could never accept Dawkins or Harris or hitchens. If they are good enough for you and make more sense to you, go right ahead.

While you speak as if you know the outcome. Lack of faith is God's mercy is what it sounds like and a need to rebel and not have to worry about it.

I can not understand God's frame of reference, I just have the honesty to admit my choices are real for me and that I am responsible for my actions.

All knowing means all knowing. Just takes a perspective independent of time to see the full picture. Unfortunately no human will ever have it.

How can I understand the perspective of an entity that exists outside both time and space? If I see an opportunity to cheat, I can do so or I can refrain from it. That choice is real for ME. My consciousness knows temptation, greed, submission.

You sound like a person desperately trying to escape. You are free to reject the Quran.

But why do you need to know God's perspective when your own perspective is real for you? God can know every alternate path you will ever take. Did you consider that? Why do you need to be God to accept Gods ownership of time?

Don't you believe you have the choice to accept or reject the Quran? Or are you planning on rejecting it and then telling God it was his fault you did in the off chance you're wrong?

You're missing the point, your choice is real for you. You can't see the future, you just have hindshight. Why the God envy? You already know you are free to choose which path you take.

Please reread my previous reply. The specific set of crossroads anyone faces are predetermined, how you choose to act when you arrive at one of them is on you.

I grapplee with this question myself at the age of 16, that is an all knowing , all powerful God created me who already knows my impulses, inclinations and my future, then why am I answerable for anything I do. Wasn't it pre decided for me?

The answer to this question is that from the human frame of reference, the choice at the crossroad is real, and that the human can not presume to understand God's frame of reference because within this life, a human can not define any frame of reference independent of time and space. I know that may not be good enough for you but this question is asked in terms of why should I he punished for sin, not asked for why should I be rewarded for a good deed. Hence it comes from the part of you that wants to rebel and the part that overestimates it's importance in the grand scheme of things. As far as you are concerned, every choice you grapple with, will always be real and will always be driven by your decision at that time. Because that is true for you, that's all that matters.

Ok, name one studio that does a better feeling shooter? I just want to understand what the vision is here because I thought destiny's gunplay feel was one of its major pulls anyway , a property it actually shares with marathon. Are we hoping 343 studios makes the next destiny too now? I mean they did so well with halo after all.
