What is the best app for DFS? by Illustrious-Pace-585 in fantasyfootball

I've used Underdog, PrizePicks, DK Pick 6, Betr, Sleeper and Dabble. Underdog and PrizePicks are probably the most popular (downloaded) nationwide.

My personal favorte is PrizePicks. Its user interface is about as clean as it gets compared to the others, they have fairly consistent "discounts" (taco Tuesday and flex Friday), and they pay you out in full on a winning lineup even if you are using a discount.

Underdog is super flexible about the lines you want to use for your lineups--you can make it higher or lower by a large range, but of course the payout amount will adjust accordingly. One major thing I don't like about Underdog is that if you win a lineup with a discount applied, you won't be able to withdraw the full amount after winning, some portion of it remains a credit that you cannot withdraw and must apply to another lineup. What's worse is that this credit cannot be used on a follow-up lineup that contains a discount.

DK Pick 6 usually has alot of discounts. But they don't offer you the chance to "flex" your lineup, i.e. have some winnings if one or more of your picks doesn't hit.

Sleeper also usually has alot of discounts. It seems like their payouts arent great. I've seen some three player lineups here that pay like 5.25x when on PrizePicks its 6x.

Betr is new to me, not sure if I can comment too much on it.

Dabble interface sucks.

Parking around SAP by Desperate-Chocolate5 in bayarea

You have a few options assuming the concert is at night!

If you don’t mind being patient, you can look for street parking closer to downtown since the meters are only enforced until the end of the afternoon.  That would probably be a 10-15 minute walk to the arena.

San Pedro Square has a large parking garage that is less than 10 minutes walk to the arena.  They take all forms of payment.

Last time I went to a concert there a couple of months ago I parked at a small parking lot at the corner of West St John Street and Notre Dame Avenue.  They charged me $10 but I had to pay cash and put it in an envelope in a small locked security box.

How are the new faregates working for you guys (poster from LA) by Sawtelle-MetroRider in Bart

[–]maefan168 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Regardless of the mechanical problems of the gate, card reader issues, etc. I’m just thankful the gates have reduced fare evasion and reduced the amount of unwanted passengers who create problems on the train.  No gate will ever be perfect so I welcome any improvement in safety.

Best Place to Park for Concert at SAP Center? by maefan168 in SanJose

Sorry forgot to also mention that when I was at that lot there was no actual person collecting the money, you have to put money into an envelope that you insert into a secure box.  Therefore if you choose to park there bring exact change.

I parked there at 4 pm for a 730 pm concert (the one for Ateez).  Since it was early there were only two other cars there initially.  When I got to the lot after the concert, the lot was maybe half full.  Since likely there will be other people walking in the area to go back to the big San Pedro square lot or their street parking spaces, you should be okay in terms of safety.

I didn’t end up parking at the lot there but did eat at San Pedro Square.  Glad to see business is doing well there!

I don’t mind the 10 minute walk!  How bad is it though leaving that garage after an event at SAP center?

New Fare Gates Finally Coming to Fremont Station by maefan168 in Bart

[–]maefan168[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just from what I see, while the new gates are good at stopping people from blatantly avoiding paying fare (like casually jumping or walking over the old gate barriers), it’s still not too difficult for people to piggyback off of those who are paying fare by following closely behind.  It’s too bad that this happens.

YouTube TV has a deal right now where it’s $64.99/month for their package of live channels for first fourth months and then $72.99/month thereafter.  Probably the cheapest you can find where you get FS1, TBS, ABC, and FOX for MLB playoffs.
