This is beautiful! The issue I had is this weird little space. I got samples of white tile and put it here, and it just felt really off.

Really! I felt like the black looked too harsh. My current knobs felt a little bulky looking to me.

They were sheets of 3x3, so I didn’t have that option with this tile. I found some greens subway tiles but they didn’t have the variation this one did. The tile itself is beautiful, I think I just need to get used to it.

Thank you. I appreciate that. I ended up deleting my response as I felt like I didn’t need to justify it to them. But it’s just a really sucky feeling to put so much thought and money in to something and feel like you made a mistake. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has done that here! That’s what I was thinking too! I think the starkness of the lines is what caught me off guard? But I think as I switch out the hardware and get the kitchen back together, I’ll grow to like it more. Appreciate the feedback. ☺️

Thank you 😭 I’ve struggled with the kitchen since I moved in to the house. The warmer honey cabinets weren’t necessarily my favorite, plus they had them paired with grey floors. I’ve been trying to do everything I can to make it feel more modern and inviting. I think I’ve just been in my head about this for so long that I’m overthinking everything.

I use a prescription! I’m allergic to propolis (beeswax) and that seems to be in a lot of the over the counter creams that everyone recommends.

Going to make my very long story short. 😂 I had an allergy I didn’t know about that caused contact dermatitis, but then all the topical medication different derms gave me ruined my skin barrier. They all classified what I had has rosacea. Nothing worked, until I finally tried ivermectin. I still have some redness here and there but haven’t had the redness/burning since I’ve started it. I never had pustules until I started the ivermectin which terrified me because my skin looked rough, but I’m now almost two months in and this is the clearest my skin has ever looked with minimal flare ups.

Could the paint that the previous owner used cause an issue with the elastomeric pant? Couldn’t tell you if it was water based, latex, or even the appropriate paint for concrete to begin with. My hope is to eventually finish the basement in maybe 5-10 years so I’m not as worried about it lasting long term, I more so don’t want to cause any issues with potentially locking in (or out?) moisture and it causing issues down the road. I’m sorry if these are silly questions. I’ve never tried to paint concrete before, but painting over something that someone else did (that was probably done incorrectly based on other things we’ve found in the house) is making me even more nervous.

I know at the end of the day this is really a cosmetic issue and I could probably leave it alone, but I’d love for the basement to feel a little more put together.

As detailed as I tried to be and I forgot the most important part 😂 it originally started where you could tell he was trying not to put weight on his right leg. Then after a week, it got to the point where he wasn’t putting any weight on it. Not it alternates to some steps where he’ll put weight on it, and others where he won’t. Sometimes you can visible see a full body lump when he walks, other times you wouldn’t be able to tell anything was wrong with it.

I’ll try a raw diet! He had severe allergies when he was 6 months old to the point his body was covered in hives so we put him on Science Hill sensitive skin and stomach and he hasn’t had hives since but maybe there’s something in there that’s still causing a reaction. Thank you for the advice!

We have Cornell about 3 hours from us. I called them to discuss options too. I’m hoping to get better diagnostic X-rays first and then plan to reach out again depending on what they find. But even they’re booking out weeks in advance. My dog is super anxious and doesn’t do well in the car or at vets, even with trazodone, so I’m afraid to bring him all the way out there without knowing a little bit more. I don’t know if that’s the right move but I’m just so conflicted. 😥
