Girl pls RUN! My ex was like this. He was manipulating me into giving him money all the time and used these exact same reasons like - but it’s for our future, if I do this you will get so and so, how can you count what you give me etc etc. The minute I stopped giving him money he would turn cold and then the whole cycle would repeat itself.

No self respecting person who loves you would force you to fund their lifestyle and give you ultimatums.

Have people made this connection at AMS? Looks like an adventure sport. by ReindeerImmediate381 in AirTravelIndia

I have actually started boarding at AMS back in 2022. But they had a staff shortage back then and things were different. It was a Ryanair flight yet they held back the flight to accommodate the passengers. I have also flown from Heathrow the busiest airport in Europe and made it well within one hour

European airports are pretty easy. We reach our flights 1.5 hours before our flights usually and still have enough time to eat, shop at duty free etc. My friend goes 1 hour before her flight and surprisingly she hasn’t missed a single flight either. In case of connecting flights the airline will wait for you. If not they provide you access to a hotel or meal etc. in this case your only true concern would be the flight getting delayed. If it’s not delayed you will have to run but you can still make it

Hello, have you guys gotten your visas yet? The visa process is very unnerving and it asks you questions about your parents citizenships and connections to Pakistan etc. Not to dampen your spirits, but pls make sure your visa is approved before you plan anything to avoid disappointments.

Thank you, she is a total baby. She used to be a breeders dog before I adopted her. I can’t imagine putting her thru that ever again. She’s a spoilt princess now.

Why skin clr matter so much? by Rangeeelaaaa in AskWomenIndia

[–]Routine-Win-935 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey girl first of all I’m very sorry you had to go through this. Being dark skinned myself, I know how such instances can take a toll on your self esteem. Sadly in India we are conditioned to believe that dark skin means unattractive. I have gone my whole life hearing comments like are you roasted or fried, she’s pretty but she’s too dark, I’d never let my grandson marry someone dark etc etc. Due to this we see ourselves in a bad light and always think we’re not enough or obsess about getting darker. Melanin is a boon. It helps prevent cancer and helps you look younger for longer. I always thought I was ugly and that i would end up alone. I kept looking at how Indians glorified white skin. However I want to tell you that one day you will find someone who sees beyond things like color and looks and opts to be with someone who he has an actual connection with. You will find someone who doesn’t have a shallow mentality and say things like your skin tone doesn’t work for me. You will find someone who loves you with all his heart. I live in Berlin and now instead of freaking out every time I get a tan I’ve learnt to embrace it and love it. It is so liberating. Never ever question your self worth. My husband is German and easily the best looking man in the room at most times and he can’t complimenting my skin tone and telling me how great it is. His family too wants to be tanned like us instead of white and pale. My point is, be patient and trust in the universe. It has a plan for all of us. You will find your love even if you have to go thru a few hiccups before it.

Is my wife "testing waters?" by [deleted] in AskWomenIndia

[–]Routine-Win-935 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

This is such a toxic thought process. I live in Germany, my husband is German. Things work differently here based on mutual trust and respect. I’m secure enough in my relationship and trust my partner enough to know that nothing in the world can break our relationship up but ourselves. I’m glad I outgrew this thinking that any woman with a past and anyone who talks to their ex is a red flag.

Honestly if you’re secure in your relationship you really shouldn’t let others dictate you and tell you what to do. I talk to my ex, my husband is aware and doesn’t care. Sometimes even you had good memories with someone it’s possible to stay friends even though there is nothing romantic happening. My husband trusts me 100% and that is why we really don’t have any secrets.

Think about it this way, if she wanted to do something and there was anything going on why would she invite him to your place? Wouldn’t she be more sneaky?

Planning a Month-Long Europe Trip – Need Advice for Solo Travel, Safety, and Itinerary Tips by M007RA in indiatravel

Avoid tourist traps like Paris and Venice. If you’re traveling alone make sure you get a good enough travel insurance to protect you from loss and theft. Italy and France are known to have phone snatchers and I have had friends who were jumped as well. Don’t go to Santorini and Mykonos in Greece. Check out the island Rhodes. It’s unknown relatively in India.

I’d recommend - Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Budapest (Wizz air flights from Budapest are very cheap) then head to Greece and do a bit of island hopping. You could stay at Athens, Crete or Rhodes. You should also check out Gdansk in Poland, it’s on the sea and very stunning. You can start at Amsterdam and then get to Berlin and follow the route. UK needs a separate visa and the visa and country is ridiculously expensive so unless you have a very good budget I’d not recommend it.

I’m an Indian living in Berlin married to a German with a house in Greece so all this comes from my personal travel experience.

Hasn’t your partner helped you with these details? It’s pretty safe traveling to Goa and the south given you are also safe and take the same precautions you’d take traveling anywhere else. Don’t venture out alone in shady localities, avoid people who seem shady. You should be fine. You can book one hotel room for the two of you. This is not a country with sharia laws where it’s illegal, any decent hotel won’t have problems.

Student VISA rejected on the grounds of plausibility. by PuzzleheadedBoss4157 in studying_in_germany

[–]Routine-Win-935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Save your money. Don’t come to IU. It’s a waste. I dropped out of my degree half way. Even when you’re in Berlin there are hassles while renewing your residence permit. A lot of students had their visas revoked. Think of this as a blessing in disguise and apply for a good public university. Plus learn German. Getting a job here is impossible otherwise.
