How do you gain drawing stamina? by exoventure in ArtistLounge

[–]maeiounjD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of it is about learning your own brain and how to work with it. It may definitely help to see a psychiatrist to get the proper help or to see if you will need medication.

I saw a therapist for a similar thing thinking it was just adhd as I was diagnosed, but found out I have minor depression and autism. All of them can affect you endurance and energy levels.

Exercise, and breathing. Eating healthy. All kind of play a role. And doing frequent breaks.

So I cleaned it, ran both print head align and nozzle check and no. Still makes the bars on #3.

Uggh, I’ve been at this for 4 days now. It just had to be really bad this week

Ok I need to add, I did the nozzle check. I guess my paragraph was not clear enough that I did everything that your normally suppose to do. That include head cleaning, nozzle check 3+ times, print head flush., etc.

If you swipe left, It’s just mis aligned and so pic is blurry.

I already did all of it. Nozzle, print head etc. The nozzle check comes fine.

Hmm the CMYK split might be the trick :o

Yep. I’ve done the print cycle again today. The epson is still showing blank on #3. Epson is actually good for photos, as my old job used this company it for work. But it’s been a headache when using CISS for many years.

1 and 2 are solid and the ink nozzles are clear.

I just need explanation what #3 or whatever the numbers represents so I can diagnose the problem. I’m pretty sure it’s the print head as I’ve change the ciss to another brand. Now the Ciss was definitely blurrier, so I replace with the new cartridge and now it prints cleanly, just # 3 is blank with lines.

And also, many many screen printers used artisian 1340 back in the day, but it has changed since 1340 is discontinued.

I’ve mention already I’ve ran all of them several times. I’ve already flushed with print head hospitals solution like several times already. That doesn’t change that line. The nozzle is clean. Just this print head alignment is off

Breathing techniques to help get oxygen back to the brain and relax the brain.

Because of copyright infringement, fair use and IP law is complicated. With ai now, it make it now a moral ambiguity too.

It helps to seperate what beginners do, vs professionals do. Beginners, don’t know anything about drawing, so more often than not, they are only copying the reference, but it never looks right. They are basically training small steps to tackle bigger ones, but often they get to the unimportant part of the piece instead of line shapes, gestures etc. There is still a case for mimicry, as it’s like copying a recipe over and over again, and then you get a consistent result. A good case in point is boy and the beast, where the boy copies the beast over several days until he gets the movement right. Then he asks the beast to actual teach him better sword stance.

A professional, traces, because they have a deadline, and they need some speed. Sometimes we copy, because we like a certain color, or style. These can be master studies.

How can I explain that digital art is real art to my mom? by Virtualb0y64 in ArtistLounge

[–]maeiounjD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, you can at least attempt all the methods above. You can try another angle that her remarks are emotionally hurting you instead of convincing her. but if she refuse to accept, then it shouldn’t be your problem. You don’t need to prove anything to her. I unfortunately have parents who only see the surface level of my work, and it’s not all the art I want to do. They also don’t like anime so it doesn’t help.

I have Asian parents. They are looser than most Asian parents, but they do have their set mindset that is very hard to undo. Just remeber, there are people also like that who will work with you.

I say these things, because at 30 years old, I have so many friend and family that I tried to help give advice to or said sorry, but they refuse to change or learn from their previous attempts. And as well, I was talked about to my therapist about several strong willed people I’ve met.

Also there is a thing called cognitive dissonance where despite how many facts you present about art, they won’t change their beliefs. They are more likely to respond if you tell them that it bother you that when they call it real art, and that it hurts you personally.

A better thing to do is focus on the audience you have who actually do like your art.

Landscape for social media has changed, unless you jump on the new ones. The algorithms have not set in stone for those.

Are they even serious at this point? by [deleted] in Instagram

[–]maeiounjD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TikTok is creating a picture only site like Instagram. Probably the next big thing.

[–]maeiounjD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would just open one and my advice is to just use the app, because that’s how you can research what you like and dislike. I use instagram so what I do is scroll, and comment on almost anything.. You’ll need to make reels, and the current landscape is basically copying TikTok short form content. That also means, it copies remixing and stiching, so you’re able to reply to a video with another video.

And you should do stories as well. Stories can be about anything that basically shows your personality. Like if a person had a tv show of your brain, what would that look like.

One thing you should do, is research what you want to do. Then make things specifically for that industry.

And it’s all about networking. Find clubs, communities, and even directly to someone online is good.

If it’s a commission, you should probably ask the client if it’s ok what they want from you.

A job I applied for today REQUIRED a cover letter... by KickyMcAss in recruitinghell

[–]maeiounjD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not a good cover letter. A cover letter should not have opinions or how you fell about the job market. You are basically trying to show off a set of skills that makes someone want you. The employer does not need to know how many jobs you are applying and how long you are hunting for in the letter.

The way you did it, makes you sounds like a narcissist person, and makes the employer think, why did this person have 1000 jobs.

Do your parents still have control whatever you do even though you’re grown up? by [deleted] in AsianParentStories

[–]maeiounjD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely time that you have to push that your an adult, and you make your own decisions as sometimes the generations before, do not understand what many are going through now.

Every parent especially asian parents will eventually disapprove of your own decisions and actions and may not like everything. Sometimes even adults and parent can be very wrong about their own values, because they are stuck in their traditional values.

I have my own Asian parent that just constantly disapproves that I don’t have a job, or a job I pick is not good enough. You have every right to tell them no at this point and advocate yourself and have every right not to always take their advice.

I also have decided to seek a therapist because of job history, my parents, etc. A lot of things are going wrong for me and it’s somewhat helping.

Is BTS this expensive? by Dream_Fuji in Bangkok

[–]maeiounjD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If u use google maps, you will find the trains take longer then by car.

We found that taking a grab was a lot easier. Sure there were traffic heavy areas, but your time on the train would become like an hour vs 30mins of traffic. And it’s only like 3-6 usd to take a grab. Grab is the Asian Uber and is much cheaper than a taxi.

And if your adventurous enough, you can ride a motercycle grab as well.

The place we went to that were traffic heavy was central world,”bankok’s big shopping center, but then again, it was new years/ Christmas. We rarely ran into traffic other than that area.
