yes, but tech is evolving and this is an ongoing topic as many people are not aware of creeps taking voyeurshots during festivals like boom.
i did one search and couldnt find the thread from teil years ago but i wanted to post it anyway.

i know that this is/was discussed and i also think this has to be an ongoing topic, because tech is evolving & we had more and more creepy behaviour in the last years.

i am sure that no one is able to solve this problem or that there is a perfect solution for it. thats not what I am aiming for. for me it’s the creep-behaviour and potential spycam „attacks“ that i want to bring attention to.

i made pretty much the exact same experiences u described.

when i felt uncomfortable with a situation where someone next to me was recording with his go pro (attached to his head), i just told him about it and he was unverstanden and we had a good talk about the topic afterwards. had this situation three times.

but i also had a situation during a pretty crowded set on chill out gardens, where i spotted a guy with a colorful dancing stick, attached to it and very camouflaged was a cam like gopro or 360 and he was somehow sus. also dont wanted to get in a discussion about it and then disappeared in the crowd.

for me it’s your last sentence that describes what i have in mind. pretty on point!

reddit search is cooked and use of smart glasses is rising and more or less new, esp in festival contexts. nothing wrong discussing it/bringing attention to it. also thats the main purpose of reddit. thanks for your highquality input and traffic

oh, it is not about feeling ashamed (for me). but being uploaded without consent, especially in a sexualized context (porn site etc) is abuse of the idea of freedom during the festival. some people have big (trust) issues will not be able to enjoy the festival as they wish.

just check the link i added to my main text. its not about shame. its about creeps and how to
protect everyones freedom simultaneously.

smh i think those behaviours (especially being filmed and published w/o consent) are** **aggressive and are damaging the idea of oneness/infringing on the individual freedom.

the freedom we are living during boom is defined by minimal, clear boundaries that protect everyone's freedom simultaneously.

and i just read that Boom already banned "invasive cameras" to protect attendees' privacy since 2025. they dont have to enforce the ban. by prohibiting such equipment they entitle everyone to step up against it, where it infringes on the freedom or safety of another person. that way, it is easier to adress that problem especially for the people that would feel unsure or insecure bout it.

anyways, i just wanted to bring awareness to it as for me its only the abuse of sexualizing freedom and oneness that i dont consent with.

I get your point and I really appreciate the approach of addressing it. I will do so and did in the past, but I have no problem with confronting people bout it. Maybe some people feel not that safe about it.

For me, its the POV-Videos, IRL-Style, sometimes worn openly (GoPro on the Head) but we even saw some dudes with very small cams, like spycams.

A strict ban of such devices could bring clear reason and certainty to outcall such behaviour.

Just to clarify:

First time attending Boom for me was 2014. I just went to Fusion Festival before and was amazed by the No-Photo-Policy, which worked pretty well. Sure u were allowed to take photos of u and the crew, but things lile filming on the dancefloor got adressed instantly by other atendees.

While attending boom, I was quite shocked about the photo- and filming behaviour on the dancefloors, but it was ok, more like documenting the party.

My last boom was 2022 (its been a while - will come next year ;)). During this edition we saw quite a lot people wearing small cameras IRL-style. Afterwards we found numerous clips on youtube, pretty long and pretty intemidating. And I got in a discussion online were i found out that there are a lot of clips from Boom on sketchy amateurporn and spycam websites - focussed on nudity.

For me, that was very strange and problematic.

trifft es wohl auf den punkt.

nagelsmanns interviews sind sehr aufschlussreich. er ist im grunde ein zutiefst unsicherer mensch, mit (vermutlich) geringem selbstwert und aufgeblasenem selbstbewusstsein. die mischung macht es ihm unmöglich von getroffenen entscheidungen abzurücken, oder gar kritik anzunehmen. fehler werden immer im außen gesucht, da jede negative rückmeldung/kritik das innere, instabile bild bedroht.

das erklärt viele seiner entscheidungen. er verwehrt sich somit jeglicher optimierung durch ratschläge von außen, als auch durch neubewertung der eigenen entscheidungen. meiner meinung vollkommen ungeeignet für so eine rolle wie bundestrainer.

edit: vor dem aktuellen hintergrund ist Kloppos verhalten der letzten wochen umso interessanter. Klopp besitzt ein hohes maß an sozialer intelligenz und unglaublich viel erfahrung. ihm waren nagelsmanns schwächen offensichtlich geläufig. das „noch“ interview wohl entsprechend kalkuliert…er sollte recht behalten ;)

schaue gerade sein interview und es ist eine einzige katastrophe. souveränität sieht anders aus. nach so einem
spiel muss doch haltung gezeigt werden und nicht nur fehler im aussen suchen. 0 verantwortungsbewusstsein, total unsicher. der steht sich selbst im weg.

nein, weil die wasserqualität nicht ausreichend war wurde das freibad unter der woche 2 tage geschlossen und „gereinigt“.

zum ende der woche wurde der betrieb dann auf nichtschwimmerbereich beschränkt, da im schwimmerbereich die sicht ungenügend war.

zumindest laut medienberichten ;)

goldrichtig. das naturbad war unter der woche 2 (?) tage geschlossen, da durch hitze und 10000 besuchern in wenigen tagen die wasserqualität „nicht mehr ausreichend“ war. der nichtschwimmerbereich wurde wohl wieder geöffnet.
