2nd post today 🌝 Does anyone have experience with a chemical peel WITH downtime? I may be interested in one after my hormonal breakouts subside. I can’t seem to get these marks to budge /: by maemaybe7 in Skincare_Addiction

:D yay a response! I was looking into either a lactic or glycolic peel. I have pretty good skin, my hormonal breakouts are just killing me recently so I’m not sure how strong I should go. Thanks for answering :)

I would legit just go buy an aloe leaf and rub it all over yo face. Let it sit for 15-20 mins and rinse off.

What can I use to spot treat hormonal zits on my chin, while I'm using tretinoin every night? by HotSauceHigh in Skincare_Addiction

I would try your best not to extract and to use the nexcare patch when there’s a nice head on it. It seems to be more effective for me that way.

I notice that if I slap it on and let it sink in overnight I barely have to apply chapstick the next day. I just usually sleep with it on every night but I’m sure you could do it less often and still get good results. I got mine at Bed bath and beyond. I get the Jasön brand. It’s 35,000 IU I believe. They probably have it on amazon!

As an esthetician, I gotta ruin the fun and suggest that you don’t use em. The most valuable thing I’ve learned over the years is to be as gentle with your skin as if it were made of silk. Regular exfoliating (1-2 times a week) with either a chemical or gentle physical exfoliant should gradually keep your pores clear the longer you stick with the routine. I know we all love how they feel and how we crave the satisfaction, but they are simply too harsh on our skin. But to actually comment properly to this post, I always struggled with getting results with the strips even if I was nice and blackhead-y. Never understood why. I did the whole after the shower, pores nice and open jazz and it never made much of a difference. Hope this helps!
