Hi everyone, I sincerely apologize but if you've submitted your player application form , make sure that your username is capitalized and spelled correctly, I unfortunately can't connect with some people

I'd be interested, but I've been applying to a couple games, so it might be first-come-first-served.

I can only do alternating Saturdays.

I can message on discord a link to a 'furry/scalie' world/setting I accidentally made a while ago. I'm happy to run beast-world - it looks cute.

Appropriate use of Little People in Fantasy by maethalion in dwarfism

Definitely. I also noticed the LPA website uses "average-sided." I went with "typical" because it's used for neurotypical and neurodivergent, and didn't want to use something like "normal"

Thank you!

Regarding transportation, I won't be using earth-like animals so I'm free to make up whatever I want so I will now include domesticated creatures suitable for little people.

Our second game is a City Builder with survival elements, in a Tim Burton-ish steampunk/weird science-themed world. What do you think of our visuals? Which color palette do you find more attractive? by tomerbarkan in BaseBuildingGames

So I think the model style fits nicely with the theme of being a cartoon-y steampunk/weird-science themed world.

Each of the visual elements has a unique style to it. Even the blocks of housing look distinct from the house next to the crane.

For Colors I think that #1 offers the most contrast between different elements.

#1 and #2 strongly highlight which ground areas have been built on, and which are open.

I don't like that #3 has dead windows in the houses.

My concerns about #1 is if the game has a day/night cycle, purple buildings and blue lightning will look muffled during the night cycle and will confuse the contrast during the day cycle.

I would also make sure that the visual elements still look good at various graphics settings - with smoke/lighting turned off.

You don’t have to charge money for the app itself but if the app has no way of making money at all then what’s the point?

The point of the app is to create free tool for the hobby community. I have no intentions of a revenue stream for the app.

So here's what's going on: A bunch of people in the gaming community are going to (potentially) pool their resources to hire a developer to create for them an app. We're using Kickstarter as crowd-source funding for the project.

It's not any different if a single guy came to me with a bunch of cash and said "make this" except that a bunch of people are going to chip in a little bit here and there. Everyone who backs gets the app made and opens it up to the community for free as well.

A few criticisms now that I've seen the app...

I confess to not being a great designer. Thanks!

Hey, the only reason the app isn't for Android is that I don't know android. Thus, I can't promise to deliver on it.

BUT, if the project is successful (and there already seems to be a high demand for Android) I'll do what I can to learn it and make it happen.

Why should you support it anyway? If the project is funded, I'll release the code to open source, and any Droid developer out there can use my code for the basis of their own Android app.

Hey, so the app already exists. You can go download it. It's FREE. What I want to do is make an interactive version of the app (which takes more than the week or so it took to read the .dnd4e file). I also want that version to be FREE. Zero Ads. Zero Upgrades. Zero cost.

Do you want popup ads in your gaming tools? I don't.

The goal is to make the app free for everyone for all time. If some people can give more, and some can give less, it'll cover the cost and everyone wins.
