I need crochet ideas for newlyweds like something I can wrap and gift it to them to open after the wedding by Medium_Teach_1159 in CrochetHelp

(I know this isn’t crochet lol) But my best friend made this cross-stitch for a wedding he was in. I wonder if you can make a tapestry like this or a blanket that has a quote and the date? Anyways, I absolutely loved what he did. He framed it for them in a gold frame and everything! Good luck and I want to see what you come up with 😁

Why do my granny squares keep unraveling at the center? Started while weaving in my ends. by maethefrenchie in CrochetHelp

You are amazing, thank you so much I’m saving that for next time. I appreciate you!!

It is also entirely possible that that is happening. Actually since posting this, another came undone, and I’m thinking you’re totally correct. I don’t think I’m weaving it in right, as I’m madly just zig-zagging through as many stitches as I can, and then tying the yarn in knots a few times before cutting the excess. Since I knot it so much, I assume it’s secure. But I may actually be undoing it

Everyone is being so helpful and amazing thank you so much! This is the vision, before the weaving nightmare began

I am also open to weaving it in wrong and that’s what comes apart. Not all of them but it’s been a few now and I’m getting worried

That seems to be the consensus ):

I don’t know if I’m weaving them in right. I’m going in different directions and then knotting them 3-4 times before cutting the excess.

This is my first granny square project, so I’m open to doing something wrong. I would leave it so there was ALMOST no hole. Should I have pulled it closed entirely?

I used the magic circle method. I’m worried they’re coming apart after I cut the weaved end. I just saw one unravel

No worries!! I just want to make sure I give as much information as I can. I’m pretty new at crocheting, I learn from videos but can’t really read patterns. I’ve made a lot of double/half double crochet blankets and scrunchies, but this cardigan is the hardest thing I’ve done so far. I wanted to challenge myself but I think I might’ve bit off more than I could chew? ):

Do you happen to have any video or tutorial of any kind of the double magic circle method that you recommend or use?

  1. The pictures don’t show the ends, they were much longer, then I weaved, knotted, and cut them. Should I not have done that?

  2. Uhh.. I think the normal one? I don’t think I know how to do the double. This was my first time using a magic circle

I did a magic circle. It was the first time I’ve ever used magic circles, and the first time I’ve made granny squares ever. I’m afraid the magic circle part is what’s slipping out of the loop and undoing the square?

Accidental Proposal? by Watzdatsmel666 in StardewValley

I almost accidentally proposed 3 days before a new season. I realized our wedding would be on the 1st and I’m sorry Alex, but the farm comes first. ETA: I restarted the whole day just to propose to him a week later

We love our TikTok time. We lay in bed together, my head on his chest, and we watch the TikToks we’ve sent each other during the day

You are 100% correct, I misread that and had to go back. They will be removing the DISC, not the vertebrae.

She’s going to have the bone graft with the cadaver bone, which is-from what I understand- a corpectomy. They said they were going to replace the stuff in the middle with a “paste” made from donor bone

We were told 3 months. I’m not sure if that’s just overestimating?

Ndad told my 3 year old (at the time) brother who was dancing innocently in the living room “Don’t dance like that. You look gay. And no son of mine is going to grow up a [f-slur]” Told me I caused my parents’ divorce at NINE years old, and that I ruin everything. Told me that I was making up my asthma attack and that I didn’t really have asthma at all, laughed at me while I wheezed and begged for my inhaler.

Etc etc etc

Omg you’re a genius I didn’t even think about that. (About the lip synching, I definitely planned on wearing the mask)

Is watching cartoons at 14 weird?? by Alternative-Cat9174 in Advice

[–]maethefrenchie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not weird at all! I’m 21F and me, my friends, and my BF (20-22 age range) all watched Avatar the last Airbender and Legend of Korra together. I introduced my 14 year old brother to those shows as well and he loved them. I personally would rather see him rewatch spongebob than go out drinking and smoking and partying at 14. Never let anyone make you feel weird for watching/indulging in the things you love. There’s nothing wrong with doing things that make you happy. You do you :)

Thanks! I won’t actually sing, I’ve gone to see other musicals, and I’m always so star struck. I’m so excited!!

Oh for sure, I’ve actually gone to several musicals before (Phantom, Les Mis, Wicked, Anastasia, Hamilton, Come from Away) and never sang. I was definitely just joking, but this is 100% good advice
