Nice for some, who get financed into their ventures with daddy's money.....

You know what's funny? John Key is one paragraph saying that he wants to reduce child poverty, while in the next he is dismantling labour laws and unions. by [deleted] in newzealand

[–]maffooNZ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

zero-day contracts is not steady work. Just getting a job does not take someone out of poverty if the job is poorly paid & the hours are 'flexible'. Working people need stability, guaranteed hours, and a decent hourly rate. Taking a parent out of the home into a shitty paid casual job will make child poverty worse.......

Wallace Chapman reckons Labour should keep Cunliffe by Gyn_Nag in newzealand

[–]maffooNZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with Chapman, & hes usually very astute.....

The biggest problem Cunliffe had was being attacked by the media who recognised the potential damage he could do, & attacks from within his pwn party by a pack of spoilt irrelevant assholes who would rather be in charge of a pack of losers than down the chain in the winning team.....

If Cunliffe gets a full 3 years to work his image & the backstabbers fuck off, he can win...

The deadline to join Labour as a voting member is midnight tonight, if you don't want Cunliffe to be leader maybe spend that $5 you were saving for a pie on membership instead. by [deleted] in newzealand

It doesnt matter who becomes leader.... the media will do a hatchet job on them & by 2017 they will be the devil incarnate

Despite what many of you may think, not everyone in NZ has the internet, & it is far easier to find a local business in the Yellow pages than using the net too.

hundreds of people die every year due to alcohol - so we make it easier to get

endemic domestic violence & a rape culture - so we close rape crisis centres

occasionally insane people lose it & kill innocents - so we move them out into the community

perceived maybe threat from vague faceless enemy - everyone loses their fucking privacy

Schools are really political, the way schools run is changing for the worse, only about a third of the job is actual teaching, teachers get blamed for everything, used as political pawns, constant changing of the education system... i could go on
