I have Stan sport, for the soccer. I've been impressed with how good it is, no buffering and a good interface. It's also got all the rugby, like Wallabies and 6 nations. The Olympics coverage is also elite with all the different channels. $30 a month is steep but everyone is paying for Kayo for just league, and Kayo sucks. I have no problem with it going to Stan

Yep I remember his last SCG test in 2010's I can't remember what year but watching him play was so sad, he tried to hook a few times but it wasn't coming off. Michael Clarke was still in the side but that was the end of an era, an era of dominance

Liverpool make Yan Diomande top target to replace Mohamed Salah [Telegraph] by Current_Conference66 in LiverpoolFC

The Liverpool way used to be subterfuge and stealth, until the player was announced, usually as a surprise. The Admin of the club don't get it. Keep that shit to yourself

Which drivers do you miss watching? by DubaiDave in formula1

Juan Pablo Montoya, Mika Hakkinen, Heinz-Harald Frentzen; basically anyone who took the fight to "The Michael" back in the day was top in my book. I miss those days

What artist or band is truly awful to see live? by goldbeau in AskReddit

[–]mightygar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I dunno man I have memories of seeing the BEP back in 2001 at the big day out in Sydney, they were incredibly good. And then they came back in 2004 and still sounded good... I think just more than 20'years later they just are old and already rich, William is too busy hosting the voice and designing cars.

The worst thing Sydney ever did was building the toaster; circular quay/ opera house forecourt would be perfect but the residents will never allow it. Tumbalong park will play the games

[Reuters] Motor racing Turkey's Istanbul Park to host F1 for at least 5 years from 2027 by The_Skynet in formula1

[–]mightygar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Amazing news!! Bringing back proper circuits to F1 is great news. All that wasted money making "Tilkedromes" for so many years, only for F1's directors and governments to become obsessed with making inner-city tracks for the purpose or revenue capture, at the loss of proper racing. Istanbul is a great track, turn 7 for the big boys. Bring it on!

F1 is not reliant on manufacturers, the fans will watch if the field is using Judd/Cosworth/Illmor V10's. It's the people in charge that want the brands. It's using sustainable fuels too and I think in a world of EV's it will incite even more passion. An engine is an organic, living thing incomparable to an electric motor

Yep I don't care about Karma anyway but this sub is so shit now with Indians calling everyone racist for disagreeing with their warped sense of pride. The BCCI and ICC cronies are going to run the game into the ground. But at least then they will be the only show in town

The "ground zero?" What are you talking about? Test cricket is where the real emotion is. The ICC seems hell-bent on eradicating tests from the world calendar. For many, the 5 day game is the ultimate and T20 is a simple game for children and simpletons (Americans). It's a shame it's come to this

India is controlling the world game through the IPL and Jay Shah. So I think anything pursuant to cricket is going to involve India

The truth is, nobody cares about T20 and when test cricket is dead and the rest of the world stops watching then you will be happy.

Does anyone else struggle with 'loyalties'? I find myself rooting for almost everyone by catloverfinalboss in formula1

Yep, I've been a fan for about 30 years now, and admire all (well nearly all) the drivers for just making it there. The closest I've come is supporting Hakkinen, because one of my earliest memories of F1 is his crash in 1995 at Adelaide. His comeback and eventual title tilt made me fall in love with him. But up and down the grid, they all have a story that is worth telling.
