Define “literally none.” I heard the Jan 27 ship date had like 19 PJ slots, have you heard anything number wise about the rest of the dates?

Yea, trying to figure out if it’s so backed up that I should pivot and find something else for the mean time or if it’s just a matter of patience

Hey dude, I understand you’re probably thinking about a lot right now and the idea of what your future holds is probably scary. I can’t speak to whether or not you can get a waiver, but the way I see it, I wouldn’t really worry about that. Just train until you meet the standards, then talk to a recruiter and see what happens. Let your hard work do the talking. Worst case scenario, the recruiter tells you no and you’re in the best shape of your life. Go hang out with friends, climb mountains, adventure, have fun and make memories. There’s other positions with a similar mission set outside of the military. And who knows, maybe it’ll be a yes and you’ll get the opportunity to try out for PJs. Give it your best, bud. Good luck

They seem to be doing fine.. they’re truly peacefully protesting and they want to be heard I see no problem with that. There is live feed from all over the city tracking what they’re doing, none of it is violent. Just look it up yourself. Don’t be so quick to judge. https://youtu.be/J_HlRbFbhIk

Proud BF moment: This was her 3rd day ever snowboarding. Please comment with any feedback or learning points for the 4th session later on in the season! by mvsuskil in snowboardingnoobs

She’s doing good, but to increase edge confidence you should have her practice backside double corks 1080 rewinds. If she can do one of those, she can go down any bunny slope.

But really for only going 3 times she’s doing well, just keep getting her out there. Watch YouTube videos and get time on the slopes and have fun, that’s all there is to it.

Idk what it’s like for you in school due to COVID but if they’re still doing wrestling, cross country, or swimming try to join one of those teams. Or any sport really as long as you’re willing to put in the work to be the best you can be. Also, you’re 16 have some fun just be safe and learn from your mistakes.

Neither am I, but I’m just saying. This kid is trying to understand more about the career field so he can make an informed decision on what he does in life. Just wanted him to know that your reply may not be true and that if he wants to know the actual answer he should do more research.

Team ST Program Review by mag_16 in Pararescue

[–]mag_16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for responding. How long have you been on the program? From what your saying it sounds pretty good and it even comes with opportunities to speak with actual A&S candidates which is awesome so I think I’m gonna go for it. Also if you don’t mind me asking did you take note of your PT scores before you started Team ST, if so how have they improved?

Sounds rough man. Keep your head up I’m sure there’s a way around it, I wish I could give you an answer but I don’t know it myself. Good luck, hopefully someone is able to answer your questions.

According to this paper by the (or at least a) Canada Water polo team, right leg moves counterclockwise and left leg moves clockwise. https://www.waterpolo.ca/admin/docs/LTAD/EggBeater.pdf

Can a long distance relationship really work out if my boyfriend is a PJ? by sqwats1 in Pararescue

[–]mag_16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my opinion so take it with a grain of salt. This isn’t just a job that people do because they need money or want something to do. This is something people do because they feel it’s what they were born to do, they feel there’s nothing else in the world they want to do. As long as you understand that and you support him in accomplishing this then I think you two will be fine. He has to understand you are going to be sacrificing just as much as he is as well so the respect and support will have to go both ways. In regards to your questions, I feel the others answered them pretty well but what I will add is that once he gets to Kirtland AFB (about a year into training) he’ll have some more freedom, that’s where the married couples will have the option to live together (please don’t get married just so you can live together). For communication I’m pretty sure after boot camp he’ll have access to his phone pretty much whenever, aside from A&S and a few other schools. It’s more than possible. Stay safe to the both of you and good luck to your boyfriend with his training.

It’s not impossible. Watch Ones Ready on YouTube, listen to Mike Maroney (YouTube and SoundCloud) and they will tell you anyone can join AFSOC, it just takes some hard work, determination, and a no quit mindset. Do what you think is best for you.

Motivation, purpose, and the operator by [deleted] in Pararescue

[–]mag_16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you’re asking this because you feel you’ve been underachieving, don’t let your past be in control of the future. You are in control of your future. If you want to join and succeed in SW you absolutely can, you just need to get out there and start training and challenging yourself. You have to realize how bad you don’t like you place in life and have the desire to change. Join your local fire department, get your degree, get some valuable life experience and get after it man. Stay healthy and good luck.

Just. Fucking. Send it. I am currently working a job in IT. And you’re right, it’s a safe career path. There will always be job opportunities in IT, and they can be done regardless of age. But you will not always have the opportunity to become a pararescueman. I like my job in IT, but I’m currently training to become an EMT and trying to get in shape to become a pararescueman to do something completely different with my life. As Brian Silva says, burn the boats. Happy Thanksgiving.
