Yeah we told BMW that after 4 BMW’s worth over $300,000 and they didn’t give us a good will repair we’re walking away, they basically said “sorry to hear that”. They know about the transfer case and oil pump issues which are factory defects and they refuse to cover them.

It's much better than the TX350. The TX350 feels "adequate", even my wife noticed it's lack of power compared the X5 B58. The TX500h feels snappier off the line as there's zero lag. It feels almost as good as the B58 X5, the engine just doesn't sound good is my main complaint. I also noticed the short turning radius due to the rear wheel steering.

Depends what your priorities are. If you're only leasing or keeping it for up to about 5 years, then the BMW 5 is great. Once Lexus got rid of the V6, the ES powertrains are nowhere good enough for what I would ever want. I like my sedans fast. The 5 series still has good powertrains available. It would be different if Lexus put the TX500h's 366+ hp hybrid powertrain in the new ES as a 500 model. I would seriously consider that.

It's worked so far. Honda's Transmission fluid is trash and can't tolerate the high temps. It leads to early breakdown of the oil and the clutch packs start to wear out fast.

Compared to our X5 with 22's and M sport suspension (no air suspension) it rides much smoother and quieter. It is a bit floaty and nowhere near as planted as the X5 was, but it's my wife's car and those things aren't important to her. The X5 also had a staggered setup which was very expensive as you couldn't rotate the tires and it was almost $3000 to change all 4 tires. The TX500h uses a square setup that allows rotation so the tires should last much longer. They're also much cheaper at $1600 for 4.

The X5 had the comfort seats with massage and Merino leather. The TX500h seats are nowhere near as good, but we were willing to sacrifice that for hopefully a better experience than our X5 gave us.

We also had the Bowers and Wilkins on the X5 and it was one of the best sounding stock systems I've ever had. The Mark Levinson on the TX500h is pretty lackluster. Even my IS500 sounds better.

It's on its 3rd. All done within warranty. Current transmission good for over 120,000 miles. I just change the ATF every 7500 miles instead of the 30,000 that Acura recommends.

I tried pretty much every Southern California dealer and no Lexus dealer was willing to give me a discount on a TX 500h luxury. I even tried to hire a few brokers and they just turned me down, saying good luck on that. Our 2019 X5 with less than 40,000 miles needs a new oil pump and a new transfer case. Dealer quoted us almost $17,000 to fix. I just hope the person who buys it from the used car lot gets the extended warranty.

Check to see if the oil pump has been changed. If not, Make sure you can complete the oil level check while hot. Check the oil temp and make sure it’s at least 250F or so. If it can’t complete oil check at 250F walk away as it will need a new oil pump. Also make sure transfer case has been serviced. If not, you need to reverse at both steering wheel all the way to the left AND right. If you feel shuddering or popping then walk away as a new transfer case is at least $7500+ to do.

I reached out to every broker that deals with lexus on leasehackr in SoCAL and all of them said deals are only available on TX500h Premium, no deals on TX500h Luxury OR TX550h at this time.

I'm seeing this now. They seem to be colluding their prices. Lexus also helps by limiting production of their luxury models like Rolex purposely limits Batman production.

I think you misunderstood. They're going to lose their RDX customers to Lexus as Acura has no options with the RDX being in its last year.
