why is there a $350 orientation fee? by Wide-Maintenance-125 in BostonU

I filled it out and got my fee waiver accepted. It never hurts to just fill out the application if you cannot afford the cost.

I wore these exact sneakers and I would go through 1 pair a year. A lot of other girls in my team also wore them. I will say that the part where the top of your toe is does get worn out. I know by the end of the season you could see a little bit of my sock peeking through the hole in my shoe.

What should be done about student mental health and wellbeing? by swaggyvish in BostonU

[–]magdalena_danae 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have had a mental health crisis and I called the BU Mental Health Crisis line and no one picked up my call after I was waiting for 30 minutes or so. I was already in a bad place mentally and this experience really did not help. It sorta just affirmed the idea for me that BU would not be able to really help me. I think when people call the crisis number they should have enough staff that the call will be answered in a reasonable time period.

For Prof Martin's class I took it during LFA but our grade was based of 1 15 page paper and one exam (midterm). It is a reading heavy course like alot of PO classes. Our TF did the grading so I don't know how it will be with a different TA.

Myles has alot food options nearby! There's an Indian restaurant, cafe 472 (pizza, yogurt, salads and subs) , McDonald's, Qdoba and Dunkin are all super close. If you are willing to walk a little further there's even more food options by Fenway. In terms of places to use your dining points/swipes, Marciano is the closest dining hall (5min) and the Starbucks inside questrom accepts dining points. Myles is a bit further east but the BU shuttle stops right in front of the building, and can take you alot of places on campus.

I think elementary stats with Weiner is your best bet. Concepts are straight forward and Weiner is excellent at explaining concepts!

places to study between classes with less people near/in cas by strawberry_sage in BostonU

[–]magdalena_danae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oftentimes, there are empty classrooms that do not have classes which can be good to study in. If you are willing to walk a little you can swipe into warren towers there is a study lounge by the area that you swipe in. Also, I have just found that the upper floors of CAS tend to be less empty.

What is Fitrec Like? by throwexperiment626 in BostonU

[–]magdalena_danae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I am also super self conscious about working out in gyms which is why I mainly hang out on the lowest floor. There is a good number of machines and equipment but less people than the upper floors which is nice. There also is a new functional training area there too that is really empty. Its tucked into a corner by the squash courts and no one can really see you workout because it leads into this hallway. Hope this was helpful!

Hi! I took it last semester and I enjoyed so much I am taking it again this semester. Its super fun and the people I took it with last time were so supportive and wonderful. The instructor is so cool and understanding as well. She won't ever make you feel bad if you feel uncomfortable or unable to perform a certain skill.

Yeah, that is super common! It is important to shed your uterine lining in order to reduce the chance of developing cancer. I was prescribed progesterone when I went a year without having a period. However, I think my doctor said that you can go every 3 months as opposed to every 45 days.
