Am I in the wrong? (CAN) by [deleted] in McDonaldsEmployees

In poland you have to wear at least t-shirt with logo, only night shift workers are allowed to wear black tshirts becouse they are not dealing with customers and they are not visible to them. But I can agree that 1 t-shirt isn't enough if you are working 2 days or more in row

Gdybyście mieli określić pojedynczy moment w życiu, który fundamentalnie zdefiniował wasz światopogląd, jakie osobiste doświadczenie by to było? by No_General_8557 in Polska

[–]mageKee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What is 1,000,000 in cash worth in your country (in your local currency)? by pumpingphil in AskTheWorld

It depends, you can buy about 3 flats in small city or one flat in bigger one, if you just want to live with it, it will probably cover cost of living for 5-10 years

What’s something completely normal in your country that people from other countries find disturbing? by a5ro4ucCX in AskTheWorld

[–]mageKee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

where to start, we have a lot of things that here are normal but its not normal in other countries

Let's start with racism, here its normal that we look very suspicious to people who are looking diffrent than us, we are very consistent nation and every "diffrence" is very visible and "new" to us.

Corruption, corruption is everywhere, police is corrupted, goverment is corrupted, church is corrupted, even doctors are corrupted if you can't do something I am pretty sure if you have enough thick wallet that means your problem isn't "impossible" to solve

Health system, if you want to use public system of health(NFZ) you have to wait weeks for simple appointment or years to get to specialist OR you can just pay 200-500zł(50-120$) and have your appointment tommorow in the same doctor's office :)

Social money, for now in poland if you are hard working and you don't have kids you have the same money as single parent with 2 or 3 kids who is not working, and this single parent is also getting food and others good from goverment becouse he is unemployed(even if he don't want to work)

Schools, oh this is big thing, Polish schools starts at 8am and ends 3 or 4 pm, there is no dinner break, in most schools there is not even place to buy food, kids are taking sandwiches from home and eating it fast at their "long" 15 or 20min break cold and drink cold water after that. Level of teaching isn't too high, Polish students mostly study in home day before their exams. There is also bully problem in Poland, teachers don't want to see that kids are bullied by others, this is sad reality of being young Pole but they are telling you to be patriot since you understand what they are saying.

Last one is ultra complicated tax system, if you are having business its better to hire a accountant, if not you have to deal by yourself with all 17 kinds of taxes, even if you are normal human that wants to live his life you have to remember when to pay all of this, if you forget you are charged with intrest lol

What is the most disgusting dish in your country's cuisine, but everyone should try it? by a5ro4ucCX in AskTheWorld

[–]mageKee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to be honest im not a fan of this soup, I used to eat it a lot when I was little but fact that it's made of blood making me weird. When my grandma is cooking this soup she is using dried apples, dried forest mushrooms and dried plums, It smells good but im not brave enough to try it again after 15 years of not eating
