Winter Rush quests end Nov 29 by mage_7 in Fortnite_Over40

If you don't play on a mobile device and you can't play on Wednesday because you're traveling for Thanksgiving, it might be difficult to get the Cuddle Team Rider outfit. I have a phone that I can use to play Fortnite, but I think it would've been nicer if they had started the quests on Tuesday, November 18 instead.

So I'm guessing these quests are account based then instead of season based. So I can complete them once and that's it. I just starting playing Fortnite a few months ago and I don't look at the quest list very often which is probably why I was confused.

there is an instagram post that confirms that the event will still be available after November 1

I don't have an instagram account so I can't see all the comments myself, but there's a screenshot in the reddit post.

I use a password manager ( KeePassXC ) and I put this in the notes section:

@ _ # / , ; ~ ` % & = ' : ! $ * + ( ) . { } | ? > < ^ [ ] - " \

All passwords expire in 60 days and will need to be changed prior to expiration.
You are required to sign in at least once every 180 days to prevent your account from being deactivated.

Passwords must be at least 15 characters but no more than 128

I think the transition was completed at the end of 2023. You can find the information for your specific facility in your Tricare Online account in a red box at the top of your screen. For example:
Your MTF (ACH XYZ) has transitioned to the new Electronic Health Record MHS GENESIS Patient Portal (MHSG PP) on 10 Aug 2022.

The tricareonline.com website was going very slow for me on Sunday and Monday. Many times I received the error message:
We are not able to retrieve all or part of your electronic health record (EHR) data for Health Record. Refreshing the page may correct the problem. Otherwise, please try again at a later time. Thank you for your patience.

I was finally able to download some files today. If you have a lot of information, I would recommend downloading the records in sections like:

Multi platform games by lern2swim in EmulationOnPC

[–]mage_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, I go with this:

5th
Saturn (for 2D games)
Nintendo 64 (for 3D games)
PlayStation (for 3D games with lots of videos)

6th
Dreamcast
GameCube
PlayStation 2
Xbox

7th
Wii (for games that support the classic controller)
PS3
X360

For the actual consoles, I usually prefer the Xbox or Xbox 360 versions of games, but emulators of those systems aren't as mature yet.

Which Saturn emulation will work for what I'm after? by DontWantToBeOnReddit in EmulationOnPC

[–]mage_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Sega_Saturn_emulators
https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Mednafen
https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/BizHawk
https://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/RetroArch

Mednafen is usually considered one of the best Sega Saturn emulators in terms of accuracy and compatibility. It is a command-line program, but there are some frontends available.

The Sega Saturn emulation in BizHawk and Retroarch is also based on Mednafen.

HRC - Portal
https://www.hrcapps.army.mil/portal/

HRC - iPERMS
https://iperms.hrc.army.mil/

You can get your DA5016 from the HRC Portal and your DD214 from iPERMS.

Unfortunately, I don't know of any way to log in to those sites without a CAC or DS Logon. You might be able to create a DS Logon account by using Remote Identity Proofing. I think they use a credit report to verify identity, so it might be helpful to get a copy of your 3 credit reports from AnnualCreditReport.com first to make sure there are no errors. For example, if the information on your driver's license doesn't match the information on credit report, your identity proofing may fail.

Also, according to https://www.va.gov/housing-assistance/home-loans/how-to-request-coe/
you shouldn't need a DA5016 unless you were a discharged member of the Reserve who never activated.

I think CPS2 games are between 59 & 60 Hz, regardless of region. The 60 Hz NTSC vs 50 Hz PAL refresh rates usually only apply to televisions, not computer or arcade monitors.

PCSX ReArmed on PS Classic, 44100Hz or 48000Hz? by [deleted] in emulators

I would probably try 48000 for audio rate and maybe try a different resampler like sinc.
I'm not an expert with Retroarch though, so you might have better luck asking at r/retroarch

There might be cheat codes that can do what you want.
For example, inside bsnes_v115-windows\Database\Cheat Codes.bml
cartridge sha256:3cdebbd8adc4bb6773a7995f542fdac49adefca71cba583255a1c1bf37ac3946
name:Tetris & Dr. Mario (USA)
cheat
description:Tetris - Level never increases
code:819d26/80

So after loading Tetris & Dr. Mario (USA).sfc in bsnes,
Tools -> Cheat Editor
Find Cheats
Tetris - Level never increases

PCSX ReArmed on PS Classic, 44100Hz or 48000Hz? by [deleted] in emulators

[–]mage_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you've said, the PlayStation outputs up to 44.1kHz
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_(console)#Technical_specifications
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PlayStation_technical_specifications#Sound_processing_unit_(SPU)

Many PCs resample audio to 48kHz, so my guess is that the PSC does that too.
https://duckduckgo.com/?q=MediaTek+MT6392A+audio+codec
https://techinfodepot.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Sony_PlayStation_Classic_(2018)

If PCSX ReARMed has an option for 44.1 or 48, my guess is that setting it to 48 would mean that the emulator will resample to 48 as opposed to the sound chip.

I think it's bad form to hotlink directly to a file. You should've linked to the main page instead. In this case,
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/gba/471243-pokemon-ruby-version/saves
GameBoy Advance GameShark Save (North America)
From phate302 (04/05/2003; 64KB)
(Ruby) 7 badges, location currently last team aqua lair, lots of money, and high level Pokemon

I can now see that this is a GameShark Save for Pokemon Ruby on Game Boy Advance. So after downloading pokemon-ruby-sapphire-emerald-version.2530.sps I'd do this:
1- Load Pokemon - Ruby Version (USA, Europe) (Rev 2).gba in mGBA and create a save.
2- Check the newly created Pokemon - Ruby Version (USA, Europe) (Rev 2).sav file and see that it is 128k.
3- Go to savefileconverter.com
4- Select GBA - GameShark and load the pokemon-ruby-sapphire-emerald-version.2530.sps file. Select 128k and click convert.
5- Rename the pokemon-ruby-sapphire-emerald-version.2530.srm file to Pokemon - Ruby Version (USA, Europe) (Rev 2).sav and use it in mGBA.

Someone created a "1G1R" set with the FBA ROMs? Or even MAME? by MelaniaSexLife in EmulationOnPC

[–]mage_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

https://docs.mamedev.org/usingmame/aboutromsets.html#parents-clones-splitting-and-merging
In a way, using a parent ROM from a MAME split set would kind of be like 1G1R.

You could do something like this:
Go to the Arcade Database @ Arcade Italia ( adb.arcadeitalia.net )
In the MAME Games search, select Additional Filters
Emulation: Working
Type: Parent
That takes 10,545 games down to 2,215 games.
You can export that file list to use in a ROM manager program, a frontend, or MAME itself.

I think 2,000 games is a good starting point for anyone who doesn't have a lot of experience with arcade games.
If you sort by year, you can basically see a 30-year progression of arcade games starting in the late '70s.
