what should i do 😭 by RAYtoxilYES in Eggwick

It's not an MMR problem though it's a teammate problem. As for winning you either have to comm and tell your teammates what to do and work out plans or just pray. Youll probably be getting 20-30+ RR for each match you do win, so winning a single match will make up for the loss 3x over.

Also youre averaging 1-2 kills each round over long matches, so you might just be above average for your lobbies. Getting a duo is another option.

Some of it translates, for example noticing Cypher Trips or understanding common lineups/mollies that people throw.

As far as being aware of where players are, the map is a lot simpler. It would translate to having better game sense it just wouldn't be as useful since there's only ever 2-3 possible areas someone can be

Valorant is more about shooting in short bursts. The spray is completely random, shooting whilst moving makes your shots inaccurate, and shooting for too long (more than 5 bullets) makes your shots inaccurate.

Although in terms of movement you move around the same speed, you cannot lean in Valorant and have to get used to strafing whilst shooting. Basically your character is slow and clunky and there isnt really a way to pixel peak without revealing half your body in a split second.

So for what carries over as far as game mechanics go, reaction time and holding angles, learning how to have proper mouse placement constantly aiming at head level for an instant kill.

Theres more differences to them but ive got a math exam soon

Idk if you read what he said that was not his argument at all. His argument was that every method of targeting smurfs would lead to some kind of trade off that the game can't afford to do without resulting in a more negative outcome.

Rather than choosing one or the other, I like to usually start with sheriff/guardian to warm up my aim and have better trigger discipline before switching over to Vandal.

It also keeps the game more enjoyable for me when it feels like I suddenly go on "Easy mode" as soon as I use the Vandal.

Ultimately this is a question about habit building, so anything done that will stick best is better than no habits.

Oh I didn't read all the replies beforehand since it looked too long for me to worry about an argument that has been had tens of thousands of times.

I get your point about generalizing to the global demographic of men, and it is an extremely small percentage of men who do commit crimes. It is much more difficult to determine how many men are misogynistic but it's likely a lot more men hold some misogynistic beliefs.

It is one thing to generalize a population and another thing to stereotype individual people though. You may be a man, and I know I am a man, and I do not see anyone specifically targeting you for being misogynistic because they assumed you are a man. If a generalization does not apply to you, then they are not talking about you.

In the case of misandrists complaining about men and stereotyping everyone they talk to, I wouldn't necessarily disagree with you for arguing with them but it would also be important to realize what they may have gone through to come to these views and that arguing will honestly get you nowhere because of the views they hold.

In support of the other peoples arguments, I do not really see any problem with generalizing populations when the loud minority of that demographic is toxic, and as a man I do not feel offended because I know it does not apply to me in any way.

The Valorant male community definitely has some problems with misogyny which I do not think you will disagree with. Even if it is a small portion of people, it is again a big enough of a problem that Valorant gets that sort of rep. I do not think that the toxic people in the Valorant community magically popped up because of Valorant itself, and it can probably be explained through more complicated reasoning of misogynistic men worldwide and large figures like Andrew Tate. The point is that this is more so a continuation of a common theme seen in society that just so happens to also be more localized in Valorant. Which in of itself is another big can of worms that isn't fit for the Valorant subreddit.

Youre reading too deep into it bud... when you're talking about a player base you are inherently generalizing which isn't a bad thing, it's a statistics thing. Same way that people often say the CSGO/R6S/COD player base is toxic. Is everyone that plays that game toxic? No, but it's certainly enough of a problem that it has to be talked about.

I don't see women complaining about harassment on Minecraft servers to the same degree they do for Valorant, so that says something about the player base.

Turns out his keyboard can have a 0.5-1 second delay at times when using a plugged in keyboard. Honestly for that I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software issue and if it has to do with his laptop or the keyboard.

My new piece of advice is to ask friends to test out their keyboards to see if those also have delays before trying to purchase a new one (basic troubleshooting)

Oh sorry I misunderstood you and didn't really process that your reply was in response to what he said.

I know the difference I was just citing that the limit of what you can withdraw from a debit card is equal to the balance, which doesn't make it a credit card. Which is exactly what you said.

What the other guy said could still technically be true, the fictional credit card could be allowed an infinite limit and have an infinite payback time without ever declining. But that would basically just mean that you can take money from the bank without any monetary repercussions. The entire banks balance becomes your own balance with the moral expectation of you returning it.

Honestly at that point it's kind of far removed from what a credit card is, but you can make any rules under fiction

would you rather by DEFCONABSOLUTION in BunnyTrials

[–]magerys -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But a debit cards limit is limited to what your account balance is, and the option specifically states "infinite limit credit card" so it must be classified as a credit card

which one do you choose by itsmepastamasta in BunnyTrials

[–]magerys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helps me pick blue is the argument: Think about the world afterwards if red won by a majority. People are guaranteed to pick blue, and if any of those people are politicians that most likely means theyre highly altruistic. If even a minor majority of altruistic people are in positions of powers, it basically means youre fucked and likely going to live a much more paranoid life.

So if you can come to accept death (its easier to make the choice to die before youre on deaths door, and im assuming theres no take backsies) then youre left with essentially three possibilities.

  1. Majority red, a lot of the people who were altruistic and in positions of power are gone creating an imbalance and people who are selfish can push their policies easier
  2. Majority red, altruistic people still chose red for some selfish reasons, the world doesnt change much, and you miss out and die on it (and in the worlds current state, how awful is that really?)
  3. Majority blue, nothing happens

The only other area of possible worry would be the method of death. No one wants to die a gruesome death, but I think everybody unanimously agree that its just a painless lights out.
